Sativa strains in the GVRD?

Anyone growing or know of common but good sativa strains that are still available GVRD area?

Looking for strains that are opposite of Kush. Personally I hate the Kush high but I haven't been able to get any cuts locally, even Diesel has disappeared. I have people who can keep moms for me but no cuts around to start any.

There are quite a few good lines in seed form. I realize there's more work in that angle, but I think for a good sativa it's your best bet. At least it is for most people.

I dumped mine this last cycle, got enough in storage and buddy will run it till the end so no worries getting it back.

Seeds would be fun tho given the time and space.

diesel is a sativa?

I don't know how much of it is Sativa vs Indica but at 7 weeks chopped the the effects are not like Kush/etc... I have a hard time falling asleep on it. My feet and hands feel like I did a rail of speed.

First time I smoke it I was laying in bed and thought I was hallucinating a bit again totally different then say Kush which just mellows me out which for me is useless.

Taking it to 8-9 weeks makes it more stone but still uplifting but the come down is faster.

Is that all there is in BC....nothing but Kush?.

Northern and Eastern BC has a bit more variety but Kush strains is all there is for the most part. Yes people will say its still here but that gain in small circles and no one is going to grow it if you cant sell it.

Out east (Ontario) is a bit different and I know guys who courier there and they can move Jams and Diesel no problem if its available but has to be large quantity. Jams seem to be popular because you get more out of them when making oil/hash vs Kush.

What in the heck is Jams...or Jammers...or whatever you call it..

I've had NYC Diesel locally ...wasn't impressed...but it could have been the cut....still good...just not great..

Lol, a Canadian that doesn't know what Jammerz is. It is a Jamaican cross that took over the beatsers market beffore Kush. Light green, super frosty and up to 4 lb/light. Very sweet smell. Had more names than any other strain I have encountered. Peace GS

BC Beasters = cash cropped, over chemical ferted, sprayed down with you name it, megabuded/phosholoaded/flower dragoned, cut early, flash dried, no regard for end users well being, etc, etc. used to be Bigbud, Skunk, M39, NL x Hashplant, Jamaican Sugar but is now primarily Purple Kush and such. Asian growers adopted this style of growing/marketing way back...I recall $1000 nammer beasters forever ;)

beaster strains yield well in 6-8 wks, crammed in and cranked out...in Holland they have Power Plant, Widow, NL, Critical, Chronic, etc, etc very similar to our beasters. common sense dictates beaster strains can be much better quality if grown with the end user in mind and properly

Its ok, don't cry.

Well I don't really smoke too much so no and I grew diesel up to a few years ago but my diesel baby supply had to shut down and that was around the time I stopped growing. I have people who have been asking me for sativas for a LOG time but I just didn't have the time to set things up.

Typical, and btw Diesel is not a sativa...

it has sativa qualities but it also has indica qualities

it's evident that you have no clue what a true sativa is
