My setup

Jardin DR120T 4x4 tent
2- 8 bulb t5 HO’s 4 foot long
Coco and rice hulls
David’s Grow Simply Path full line
Root Roids
Cal\Mag+
PH \ 5.8 – 6.0
Temps give or take 74 – 78
8"can-fan to a 33 can-filter hooked to a speedster to slow it down, way to big for a 4x4 tent
6" can-fan max

I am certainly new to this but thus far i am having great results with my first grow, just bag seeds as I really did not want to kill something I truly wanted to smoke.
I have 12 Bag seeds now in the 6th weed of veg, all doing well, pics to come soon, all been topped and or femed and now starting to lst them.
I just planted 5 auto fem’s from Herbies –Strain unknown as I bought there grab bag of 10 auto fems.
I also planted 1 northern lights fem from Herbies as well.
I have two more batches of beans on the way from Sensible seeds and MJ Seeds. Again new to this but what I have to say about Herbies seeds is this, 11 days from order to door step living in the states. I like that; the other two orders are still in no man’s land.

Thank you, I have done months of reseach before I spent $1.00 and I am so glad I did, something that appears to be so simply clearly is not. One might think growing weed, easy, plop a bean and watch it grow. Not the case, however after reading, reading and reading some more, I have had some success thus far.

Thank you to all

Now I know why the man wants so much $ for his treats.

Now I know why the man wants so much $ for his treats.

Some pics of my first go round, bag seeds since I really did not know what truly was going to happen. Great news, nothing died and the ordered beans have arrived, germinated 6 and they popped there heads up screaming, smoke me smoke me.

That's funny, I am more or less 4 months into this fantastic hobby, not 4 months with the lights on, 4 months total, ordering, setup and finally the lights on. I have been putting allot of thought into buying a 600w hid setup, I am leaning towards buying the so"solis tek matrix 1000/600/400 lcd ballast" certianly over kill for what I need but allows plenty of options if I elect to use them, I like the sun systems low rider 6" air-cooled hood, I like this reflector because I am in a tent and hieght is always a concern, I would go with 600w lights.

I am thinking after the first of the year to upgrade, I would move both t5's into the smaller tent.

My dumbass has killed some beans, I am so pissed at myself. I believe I may of been enjoying smokey treats and watering the farm at the same time, this may of lead to me watering the freshly germinated beans with the full nutes for the other plants, this morning 3 dead beans, bummer that is all I can say.

Live and learn, I just wish they could of been bag beans, oh well, whats life without killing a few things along the way.

8 ish weeks into my first grow

8 ish weeks into my first grow

I am 7 - 8 weeks in on my bag seed run, thus far 2 of them showed sex, females and I am happy about that, I think 1 of them is showing signs of a male, I will have to keep a close eye on that one.
They all have been topped \ ok I tried to fem them and it worked on some and others well they were topped, this process has now happened 3 times, they are all tied down as well. I am being aggressive with this as I am in a tent under T5’s; height is of the utmost importance.

My plan, if it works it to keep veg’ing through the holidays, early Jan I will move them over to the 12\12 tent, under T5's as well. No real reason to this madness, as long as I keep them short and bushy I am a happy man.

being in a 4x4 tent, I should be able to flower 6 of them in 3gal smart pots, again I think, 6 I believe would be tops. I am hoping I can veg them all until they show sex, kill the males and move the females over.

I also have 6 auto's going, between 2 and 12 days along, they as well are kicking butt.

Don't be shocked if you get some hermaphrodites - actually worth keeping an eye out for them so they don't pollinate your entire crop. My first run was bag seeds. Out of 6 females I grew out, all but one threw nanners. Kept that one through several runs. Wasn't great compared to the seeds I bought, so I finally let that one go too :(

Great experience, though. I got a few ounces of weed from the first run that was better than the weed the seeds came from. I hadn't learned yet how much better I could do with purchased seeds.

Nothing like sharing some smoke, getting rave reviews and keeping the secret of where it was grown :D

My first attempt at this was just a few seeds in a bucket of farm dirt, no nutes, no love what so ever, it hermied big time, I took about 10 clones off it, that was about trying to clone, needless to say out of 10 clones 2 made it, of course they were crap as well.

Now that I have the gear in place, nutes in place, I moved on to this grow. These will be the only bag seeds I run indoors, once they are done I will continue to focus on my purchased beans.

The auto's I have going are kicking butt thus far, I also have one northern lights fem that is at 2 nodes now as well. Clearly I am way out of space at this point and time. Those bag seeds may not make it :). I am going to take the ones thus far that are female and get them over to the bloom tent soon, they will run there course in 1 gal pots i think, more do to space than anything. I will be putting the auto's in 3 gal smart pots yet this week.
