Sometimes those tribal mock battles get a bit out of hand too.

Peel away that thin veneer of civilization and you're left with warring apes fighting over berries.

I'm surprised that people are surprised by this behavior. We leave old rituals behind and create new rituals to take their place.

The Consumption Gods want the occasional sacrifice and we willingly oblige them.

Not me, of course. I'm far too lazy and clever to dance to that tune.
