Clone Only Strains - Strawberry Cough

Aka: Kyle Kushmans Strawberry Cough

Texas Kid: Strawberry Fields is a 100% indica strain that originated in vermont. around 7 weeks flowering time. Breed for the taste and smell of strawberries, and to be able to finish before the first snow fall in Vermont. High yielder. from what I understand, the strain was given it's name because the breeder grew it for many years in with his strawberry plants, and claimed that the original scent of strawberries was intensified because of the way he grew the plants together. nevertheless, if his theories were correct or not, the worked plants in his field had developed a scent and smell that matched his freshest strawberries to a tee. But the high was not ideal for his prefrences(needed to be more cerebral). He took an outstanding pure haze male and crossed it with his best female flowering in his fields. These are essentially strawberry cough seeds, but not the clone that's going around. The SC pheno clone was found in sorting through dozens of these seeds that were given to kyle kushman. the SC clone yields very heavily from it's mother strawberry fields(which I was told the real deal is now extinct). Expect a minimun of five to six ounces per sc plant, and the real deal finish around 7.5 - 9 weeks depending on what you look at to harvest. each branch must be supported with at least one stalk, or the weight of the buds will cause your limbs and buds to hang on the ground.

This strain is so good. My friends keep talking about it years after we no longer had the cut. I wish I would have kept her, sometimes you just don't realize what you have until it's gone. If you get a chance to grow it, I think you will enjoy most everything about it.

Chimera, havent tried them but hes a real life breeder GASP and got some classics

no more of these would/could be made....recently tested full flats of each of the available lines and these lines all germinated over 90%

I use the word breeders very lightly anymore because there aren't really any anymore. Now a days all people are doing is taking 2 proving strains and crossing them and releasing seeds. Or they take two proven strains and reverse one to pollinate the other to make fem seeds. The seed market and weed is going to hell fast in a hand basket quickly if people don't stop creating fem seeds.

Today's market really is run a pack of seeds find one good cut label it "elite" whore it out and breed it with another so called elite pheno type that was found in someone's pack of seeds.

Or even better run bag seed or a hermie seed that you found claim it as you made it label it a elite And hoard it and sell cuts for outrageous money.

yes this is my pet peeve. I make my own seeds and post my threads and name my own cuts that I get, but I give credit where credit is due. I try to be a good example, and tell everyone exactly what breeder the genetics came from, and how many times I back crossed. I wish others would do the same. Just because they put on a breeder tag does not make them a breeder.

I hold real breeders in high regard though.

Also guys strawberry cough is definitely going around I can get the cut right now from a friend that has it locally. No not from a dispensary either I have smoked the cough alot being where I live isn't to far from Vermont and its not all that spectacular from my expirence with the cough. The taste is the best part about it has a decent high but the taste is what's the best about It.

I'll get the clone and grow it then give my opinion because I feel most weed you buy commercially isn't the greatest because they are trying to just pump that shit out and sell it there is no love in what they do so I'll get the clone and document it on here.

Okay, the Texas kid story has been on the net for years, and it's not true. Kyle got strawberry cough as a clone in '94-'95. It was labeled kyle kushman's cause he worked for high times and they started putting pics of it in the mag. My team has been growing it since '97 or so. Kyle brought it out here to Detroit with him in '96. Passed it to some friends of my friends. I first smoked it in '01. It has been my favorite herb since, after smoking and growing hundreds of other strains.

He is working on his breeding project right now. None of his seeds have been released. Except I think a limited amount of Jurassic haze through buds and roses last year. Either way, Kyle's seeds aren't ready yet. Passing strawberry cough will always be his legacy. It is a plant that will change your life if you let it. still haven't found a better mood elevator in almost 13 years.

And by the way, Kyle didnt label it as his. Other people did. I never heard it called KKSC until '06-'07, here on ICmag when I started posting pics of it and passing the cut out to friends around the country. Pre 2006, there were very few places in the country that you could obtain strawberry cough. New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Michigan, Colorado, and Washington are the only states I know for sure had strawberry cough being grown in them.

No hiding it's been around my way for years I am from "The city that never sleeps" on the East Coast to be exact and i know people that hold the original cough from years ago. I have smoked it many times just to me it wasn't the most potent smoke. It was very very tasty though I'll get the cutting its the same dude that is giving me the old blueberry clone the one from the old days that stinks that he is giving me it along with the Cali o and Elvis diesal clone.

I don't know it's origins I would have to find out but it supposed to be legit cough the dude has held it down for years.I don't think it is Dutch passions version because he claims it was a verified cut. I can find out where it was sourced from I'll ask my friend how he got the cut.



I would of been able to gets these cuts a while ago but it was the funniest thing how I lost contact with this dude for a while and one day we bumped back into each other where else u ask at the hydro store. Lol

I see you quoted me on almost everything except the part about the prices of his genetics. Its a little too late for me to try to gather info on him I'm already sold. About his strains background I really don't care as long as I get what I asked for wich was a good Sour strain. I don't think every breeder is straight foward about their strains background. I have grow motarebels, mr.nice/shantibaba, ******s, mandala, bogs, and so many more the list is long. Chimera you said ok I have a pack of his mental floss I will put them to germ tonight to see the big difference I get from his strain next to Med-Mans and every other breeder I've dealt with. and your now concerned by a 10 £/$ difference with chimera? if your really counting pennys theres cheaper options, and since you have no problems with ethics and base purchases on the sellers online persona you would love greenhouse seeds.Maybe your just clutching at straws, hope your plants turn out well

Von money is not a problem I just like to give breeders a chance and belive me I will post results of Med-Mans starins GOOD or BAD. The problem is over priced seeds with some breeders I've paid over $200 for a pack of seeds and got better results from a $40 pack. Look at Matt Riot he takes other breeders worked strains and sells them for more than the original breeders do now thats the person you should have mention in your first post. Buddy greenhouse I grew their strains about 15 years ago lol. Like I said I will grow Chimeras to compare.
