Post Polio Syndrome

Also; I again want to say, this thread is not for a purpose of yelling fire in a theatre,

I am very curious IF the polio vaccine is causing more serious senior issues. Syncopy and balance issues are often related to aging. More serious issues that are worse than simple episodes of 'passing' out while eating;

Post Polio Sydrome is more advance when it is in the Central AND the Autonomic Nervous system. All symptoms and a very concise complete list...can't find just one!
More Common Signs: From Mayo Clinic.
Progressive muscle and joint weakness and pain
General fatigue and exhaustion with minimal activity
Muscle atrophy
Breathing or swallowing problems
Sleep-related breathing disorders, such as sleep apnea
Decreased tolerance of cold temperatures

In most people, post-polio syndrome tends to progress slowly, with new signs and symptoms followed by periods of stability.
Pain
Climate Intolearnce (frequent red to bluish hands (look like Carbon monoxide poisoning) and feet; more often feet than hands)
Joint Pain
Nausea/vomiting
Fainting
Multi-system failure that is intermittent
Cognitive Issues (Cog Fog)
Issues with equilibirium

There Isn't one list or source I could find ALL the symptoms; so far, the above is a list I've compiled from searching articles, research and medical sites dealing with PPS, I could find. Not to mention the individual I am observing has extremely advanced symptoms, at the age of 60, which have been problematic for a decade.

Current treatment lies here:
Medications. Pain relievers, such as aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) and ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), may ease muscle and joint pain. Numerous drugs — including pyridostigmine (Mestinon, Regonol), amantadine, modafinil (Provigil), insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) and alpha-2 recombinant interferon — have been studied as treatments for post-polio syndrome, but no clear benefit has been found for any of them.

The fact that this disease is mis-diagnosed and not very many new docs go into this field; as it was thought they eradicated Polio, it would be a field of docs without patients.

Perhaps this disease will die-off with our generation?

what I'm saying is; you can make 5x or 10x canna butter

somewhere there's a youtube of some guy doing either 20x or 40x w/ vegetable oil of some kind {which he intended to put in gel caps that could be taken like a pill}

i watched a vid where someone uses a tabletop distiller to make RSO w/ strong liquor & that seems fine to me

it's really the naptha thing that sketches me out but i would also avoid butane or ISO ~like i say, just me but, i dont see any advantage worth what i see as risks

I am with you on the Naptha thing, especially after a trip to HD and Lowe's. It has been re-formulated in California and there is something else that has a similar name on it. I fear, many are getting the wrong solvent and using it anyway! Which is why we need to make our own.

I'd have to try the butter first (I am a guinea pig for trying any form of cannabis) and see if it caused any GI distressed (which tends to happen with medibles, absent the brownie and use in a cap--would be different). It would certainly control the symptoms, at the very least. There is a guy, Stoned Ranger at GP that has a Uncle Bill's No Nonsense Oil he makes; similar to the butter recipes and reporting some great progress with insulting disease. There is a few threads here on canna-caps, etc.

It would seem like a very good idea to continue to take some sort of known organic medication between 'curative' doses of rso.

Some disease is kept at bay with routine 'Chemo' and I suspect, in many cases, the butters and less concentrated medications are equally effective; even if not used with rso or seriously concentrated mmj.

The RSO range's above 68% Thc and the butters are much lower. Therefore the CBD/CBN's, as well. The idea is to concentrate the CBD/CBN's and THC for an extremely insulting dose to cancer, auto-immune disease and others.

I did see the video of that distillery gizmo and certainly had thots on it. But, waiting for someone that has the ability to PM to try it, too!

Ideally, re-cycling the ethanol would be optimal. But, I am not that advanced, Yet! Just using the rice cooker, for now. jpt

the still method looks like a good way to get a nicely concentrated result but I find it a little intimidating ~may change once I've tried it?

Please let me know your results.

UPDATE on patient with PPS; The tilt table was today; a sudden drop in the patients body temperature evoked her to become unconscious for 35 seconds awaking hypoxic, disoriented and confused.

Patient is just fine within an hour later.

It could be possible it was a seizure of some sort? So far, I am not finding much about temperature evoked seizures and PPS. But lesions in the brain is part of PPS, so it is all possible.

At the least, this intrigues me, I just love a good mystery.:artist:jpt

Post-Polio Syndrome was diagnosed Feb. 2014, at Loma Linda CA, the only local specialist for post-polio syndrome. Still, they cannot find any records of having had polio..ever. Just vaccine's. jpt
