Thanks everybody it gives me a good idea on when to add nutes and when to add ph down.
I've got a couple extra and I'm going to run one at 5.2 and one at 5.8 see. They are super lemon haze clones . I'm using the technaflora line for nutes see what happens.
I take pics and put them up.

Ha I like how you handled it amigo.

the pH debate is like debating with an Asian that Japan has better rice then China.

none the less, post up some pictures when you have growth. I am too interested in the results!

Ive been getting explosive growth with a 5.7-6.1 swing. I experience issues and subsequent dimished plant growth. TheCleanGame, have you run any recent experiements with weekly calibrated tools to ensure this theory is correct? Based on my experiences, friends whom have grown for years, and everything I read from credible sources/people, make it rather difficult to believe.

Optimal range for hydroponically grown marijuana is between 5.5 - 6.1...

Optimal range for soil grown marijuana is between 6.3 - 6.8...

If you haven't changed a thing, then you don't truely know the optimum pH range. Jusy because it works well (say at a 95 percentile for optimum growth) doesn't mean you have optimum growth. I'd be very intrigued to see side by side experiments proving this concept of optiumum growth at 5.1. Any experiments I've read, taken part in, or theoretical literature ive read all shows the roughly 5.7-6.1 swing to be the golden standard.

Just because something has gone very well for 10 years doesn't mean it is optimal and cant be improved on. Whenever faced with a hypothesis, change your variable and note the outcome, and repeat.

Anytime ive tested pH ranges more than 5.7-6.1 have shown dimished growth

Over 10 years ago I did all this same experimentation with R/O and the nutes I use. The results were the same as everyone else at the time... really didn't matter what nutes they were using.

Best results were always obtained with a full pH swing from 5.2'ish to 5.8'ish. Any time things have gone out of whack since then... ( pH swing takes too long, pH too high or too low for too long) I get sub-optimal results.

5.7-6.0'ish is a crutch for DWC systems that don't swing fast enough, i.e. have too large of a res size for their light wattage.

Do you remember overgrow and cw? I do.

Keep it Clean! :D

You are the car maker that would still be using steam and going 5mph all over! Or better I bet you still have a pager! The world and everything in it has changed so much in ten years this post makes me clearly understand you are FULL OF SHIT. I have read post from you in the past stating to growers on here to either listen to your holy word or don't but that your word is 10 years of knowledge and greatness! You are so full of yourself and your ways!

ANY good grower keeps the brain like a sponge! Ready to soak in some knowledge!

Keep it clean Safe or for that matter....KEEP IT REAL
