Deep Stoner Thoughts

It's easy to sit there and say you'd like to have more money. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.

"You know what's probably a good thing to hang on your porch in the summertime, to keep mosquitos away from you and your guests? Just a big bag full of blood."

Not deep, just a curiosity...

Not deep, just a curiosity...

Why does the act of being amazed cause a slackening of the jaw?

idk, I'm thinking that our brains completely unconscious overreaction to the word 'amazed' is due to the conflict within as it continues to compete against another nearly equally empathic verb, 'astonished'.......

Ancient Chinese texts called Cannabis the, "liberator of sin" and I think they were onto something very big.

As opposed to the various stimulants they also had readily at hand, cannabis definitely was a liberator. It has the ability to cut through the haze of seeing the big picture in its entirety, and bringing focus back onto more mundane things that we can actually change in our own lives.

Every time I choose to ignore a post that is "just wrong", and move on, the world becomes a slightly kinder place.

Ignorant. But kinder.

Life unfolds only in moments.

Not a single soul has ever experienced a single thing that wasn’t part of a single moment happening in space and time. That means life’s only challenge is dealing with the single moment you are having right now in space and time.

Anyone can summon the resolve to deal with a single, present moment, as long as they are truly aware that it’s their only point of contact with life, and therefore there is nothing else one can do that can possibly be useful. Nobody can deal with the past or future, because, both only exist as thoughts, in the present. But we can kill ourselves trying.

This is complete Truth

[It's] curious that we spend more time congratulating people who have succeeded than encouraging people who have not.

We spend the first year of a child’s life teaching it to walk and talk and the rest of its life to shut up and sit down. There’s something wrong there.

One of the biggest problems with the internet forums today is that we have large groups of people who will accept whatever they hear on the Internet or TV, just because it suits their worldview—not because it is actually true or because they have evidence to support it. The really striking thing is that it would not take much effort to establish validity in most of these cases…but people prefer reassurance to research.

Just saw a show about the biggest gathering of people in the world - a religious yoga festival in the Ganges river in India some 30 million people. They all have much untold wisdom and one common denominator. All getting stoned! :D
