Wow, its been a long time since posting a grow log on a forum, but i'll try and keep the boring stuff to a minimum. A friend (thanks alex) donated a couple seeds to see what they would do, and I germinated one of the freebies from a recent seed order to make the three seedlings. The tray of cuts are 12 Great White Shark and the rest are Alaska Thunderfuck just starting the second week in the tray of per/ver and should have roots in a week or so.

We ebb/flo with hydroton in 5" pots with 1000 dimmable hps on lite movers over a sea of green. Dyna Grow nutes and nothing else. No additives, or supplements ever.

The AK-47 is new to the garden. Ended up with 6 big sprawley females with colas so heavy they wont stand up by themselves. Going to pick (hopefully) one of the six to keep as a mama. They all look outstanding...equally covered in frost, massive colas and big, hard lower buds. They are going to be cut tomorrow...back with a few more pics soon.

AK-47 harvest

AK-47 harvest

Cut the AK-47 today and they all have a sweet, candylike smell. Those six girls were easy to manicure and also gave up a 3/8" marble of scissor hash to try later tonite.

We cut them all back except for a few small buds and some leaves, then stuck them back under the lite for reveg. By the time the colas and buds are dry enough to evaluate for a possible keeper mama, the harvested girls should have started to regrow in veg cycle, and we can then either allow the reveged plant to grow as a mama, or take the 1st few new growing tips and root those.

Great White Shark at 5 wks

Great White Shark at 5 wks

The tray of cuts have roots and will be planted 5"pots of hytroton today. Kind of a lousy picture of the roots....its a new, cheap camera, still figuring it out.

Seedlings are doing ok. I burned the leaves on two of them a little with a cobbled up florescent light...that always slows them down a little, but now they are in the veg room, feeding every 4hrs with optimal hid light.

GWS at 6 weeks bloom. Sharp eyed folks will spot the twine grid that holds up the top heavy colas. Nothing more dissapointing than seeing the whole dam garden fall over in week 6 because the colas are TOO heavy. Once one goes over, it leans into its neighbor, and the whole mess can lay down if its not sorta held in place. Still three more weeks for these babies....the colas will get lots fatter from here on out.

REVEGGING FIRST NEW GROWTH

REVEGGING FIRST NEW GROWTH

The reveg is well underway on all the six ak-47. We still haven't decided if any are going to be worth keeping for the future. Got some friends doing some testing and sampling of them right now.
For those who haven't done a reveg.....I wanted to show some of the funny and almost mutant new growth shoots that grow out of the little buds that were left on the plants during the reveg.

The great white shark is looking real nice....so frosty it almost looks like mold.

Some just going into bloom, some about finished

Some just going into bloom, some about finished

The seedlings are going into 12/12 today, along with the rest of the Alaska thunderfuck and great white shark clones. They arent very big, but the goal is to see if they are healthy and if the effect is any good. This is sort of a test grow, and if any turn of them out the be outstanding, we will reveg them for futire mamas.

Didn't keep AK-47 for the future. They were just fine, but offered more of a Sativa effect than I like. We need the deep sleepy, heavy couchlock Indica types. AK-47 has been around forever, and if we were fans of the Sativa types, this strain would do the job.

Great White Shark have a couple more weeks to go, but they are already leaning over from being top heavy.

New chapter....Pineapple Chunk and Bomb

New chapter....Pineapple Chunk and Bomb

Some new feminized seeds to try out. Have seen good reviews on both these in the past, so gonna see what all the hoopla is about.
They have all sprouted....you cant see them too well in the pic cause they are JUST up within the last day or so. The other plants shown are all Alaska Thunderfuck clones.

Began harvest of the Great White Shark. These are hard and heavy colas...knock your ass out if someone were to hit you along side the head like a ball bat. This strain has been around here for a couple years as a day ender....heavy and sleepy.
