I have a Reverse Osmosis system.

No cloner. Considering building one.

I have tried this system before. The first round was with seeds, majority hermaphrodite. Second round was hindered by fungus gnat larvae on the roots. Third time's the charm, right?

I have a water chiller on the way.
I got a hold of a dual ducted A/C so I may introduce CO2 (if funds permit).

Its called reflectix its at home depot or lowes usually around $43 for a 4'x25' roll.

The set up looks promising, hope this round rewards you.

Did you run a sterile res or a live res?

+ how high do you keep the water in the tubes?

Woozy: What is the difference? I think I'm running a sterile res. I do want to incorporate beneficial bacteria in there but I haven't yet.

I just weeded out a few of the smaller plants. I think I'm going to leave them in this random configuration, because they're kinda spaced out. I'm not exactly sure when I should flower but I think in less than a week. My water chiller just arrived, I got to set that up and the A/C still. (Im laggin)

sterile res means youre adding some type of chemical, like chlorine, peroxide, Dm zone, etc, which basically kills anything living in your res . a Live res means youre introducing bennies to help the plants and compete with any pathogens like pythium, the brown slime, i learned alot researching for my rot issue, I just started adding bennes to my res, i'll update in a few weeks. i would zigzag the plants so they can make most of their space. after the first week, my girls exploded and they grew tall n fast, until 3 weeks into flower, i started seeing brown slime. things looking better now after a week of res changes and lowered ppms. I haven't introduced the benificial bacteria in it yet. Unless 'liquid Karma' has benificial bac. I am going to add H2O2 next res change. Last round I had a root infection of gnat larvae.

I just changed the res. for the first time this grow. On day 14 veg. I put in a little bit of liquid Karma, gro/bloom/micro, cal/mag and some H2O2.

They got a slow start in the system so I think I will veg for a handful more days.

They are under a 400 watt HPS. I'm thinkin it's time to increase the light to 1000 or 1200 watts. (Either two 6's or a 4 and a 6, depending on the temperature in the room.

Week #3: Day 21
The temperatures jumped under 60 for a couple days and the plants really didn't like that. I plugged in a 600 and am not venting the room. Now it gets to a high of 73 F / low of 61 F. The plants are perkin back up.
Once they are fully recovered I will flower. Unless you guys think I should do so sooner.

pH: was at 5.3, upped it to 5.8
PPM: 700
Res Temp: 74 F

They have been flowering for a little more than a week. I neglected the temperature and the high dropped down to 59 and a 49 low. They took a hit for a week but bounced back.

Woozy - sorry I never answered your question about the height of the water. I keep it pretty high until the roots dip into the water a bit then over a week or two gradually lower the water level until it hits bottom. Some people even cut the zip ties on the water level tubes just to get it even lower.

Update

I noticed a couple spots of powdery mildew. So I put a dehumidifier in there crankin at 30% RH. It's late into flowering so I'm not too worried. I'm thinking of harvesting next week.

How long do you aero growers flush for? I figured a week should be good.

I'm curious as to what your yield was. I will be building a similar DIY aero system of roughly the same size. Also, what strand was that?

gottobekind: It is Raspberry Kush, or so I was told. When I finish I'll weigh it out. I definitely could have done better.
