lucas is a bloom formula. yes?

yoda,

my words were based off this link that MPL found.

check out the link to see what I'm saying. they say there lucas formula for nutes, but then they go listing these as lucas formula equivalents?

255n / 34p / 290k / 29mg / 141ca
127n / 103p / 235k / 74mg / 47ca

and no, lucas is not a bloom formula really. as it is made up off of the flora series. lucas / pH is a made up formula for hydro that seemed to get good results with two bottles, saving the hassle of mixing a third. does it resemble a bloom formula, yes, as we have found out most of the time you don't need the extra N / K provided in grow bottles.... but then there is the trade off of having high P in the grow stage / even flower, using a bloom formula...... .......

and sorry, error, I'm really bad at numbers, the K should be 190, not 165 I said. ( added the Mg instead of the B bottle K )

EDIT: damn see, already mixing numbers , 290K !!!

I agree its confusing when they use the grow formula with floraduo and claim lucas , but the bloom formula is close to lucas formula, yes?

I'm about to start using Flora Duo A and B, Floralicious+, CAliMAGic, Hygrozyme, and Bloombastic during flower. This was a suggestion from a friend and I am currently sampling some of the Critical+ grown this way and i must say, bravo. I've got Blue Mystic and Bubblicious clones that need a few inches before I flip to 12/12 and have only been getting water so I will be documenting the immediate effects of the duo on both my flowering room, and all the girls in my mother/veg room. Time will tell. I was thinking about doing half my room organic and half flora series side to side test even...

I run the FloraDuo line with a Blumat setup in soil and couldn't be happier. I had been a Canna fan but that approach was way too expensive. I have only run the Duo a couple times at this point but I like its simplicity and the results have been outstanding. Just harvested Critical+ and it is exceptionally tasty. I also used their Diamond Nectar, Floralicious, some cal mag, liquid Kool Bloom and powdered kool bloom as well.

Flush, flush flush.... The salt buildup was outrageous. Next time I flush half way through veg, 1 1/2 weeks into flower and a solid 2 week at the end.

I am growing a new hybrid right now that is new'ish too me, but I am really happy with the quality of bud its growing, with a relatively low ppm's. Shits getting stinky, and filling out reallll nice.

Got a few freebie bottles that I started using on a plant already in flower. I'm using it at the bottle dosage of 1 tsp/gal "A" and 3 tsp/gal "B". I mix with tap water and my ph comes out a tad low@ around 5.2, nothing a little ph up doesn't fix.
So far so good.
I don't know that I'd drop the flora series or Maxibloom for the duo though, but we shall see...:chin:

^ tell us how it goes.

I'm interested to see if you run into Ca/Mg problems, which obviously would be seen accelerated by using R/O, or very low tap water.. the ratios still don't make sense to me, so I would love to see the results..

evlme, good to see you! I have spent 100's of hours kicking it in the maxi post lol.
My issue was I left my Maxi bloom bag open and it obsorbed some h20, The grow shop was out, so I tried duo.

I have honestly had Stellar results with Flora nova, Maxibloom and the duo now. GH is the shit.....

I ph my water too 6.0 (touch of ph down) with my tap coming out at 230 ppm mix up the duo and don't look back. Basically going by amounts on the back, besides the Koolbloom I have been hitting with a few times.

I lost my cam charger many moons ago. This round I will have to borrow or buy one, i'll toss a pic or two up soon.

Yep i still use this GH FloraDuo for seedlings/clones only.

first of all, im soilless, this floraduo is rock but i noticed my plants got def with cal/mg issues and decided to add botaincare cal/mag...defs gone...gotta go with botaincare cal/mag with FloraDuo for each feeding for best result.

One thing i wont run for veg and flower with this products because it build salt up real fast, I have to flush once every week.

I love Dyna-Gro products for veg to flower stages.

thats from my exprience :D

happy gardening

It's weird hearing about salt buildup. I've been using Flora Duo for 6 months from seed to harvest, and the reason I like it so much is because it has been the CLEANEST nutes I've experimented with. I've run reservoirs for 6 weeks in veg and had -NO- salt buildup. Sounds like more of a PH issue if you are getting enough salt buildup for it to be a problem. I tried Advanced Nutrients and THAT shit is SALTY!
I use General Hydroponics CaliMagic, Floralicious+, and Liquid Koolbloom. The combination is the shit.

^ same here. run plants in coco, and don't flush often ( months terms ) and they handle the nute very well..

I'm still using 5A / 8B for plants.. trying it out on tap water this time ( cal/mg ) as the 5/8 is a little low on Mg, Ca

Wanted to update this thread its been a while, I've used this for three grow cycles so far, and I want to say I am satisfied using Flora Duo A and B as my base nutrient. My yields have been great, the buds look great, and the plants are loving it. Very thick, lush and dense growth compared to using lucas formula which i had done in past years. I've been bouncing around a bit on what additives I use but it always seems to turn out well. This cycle seems to be the best yet, I am going to try running it alongside the new botanicare line, "kind" on my next grow cycle. I'll post some pics tonight from this round when the lights come on. Currently on week three of bloom feeding: Flora Duo A+B, Cali-Magic, Floralicious+, KoolBloom Liquid, Hi-Brixx, and Great White beneficials. I've been going back and forth between Rapid Start and the Roots Excelurator from House and Garden.
