Health Canada wants you to destroy all your marijuana after march 31 2014 even dried medicine over 150 grams .

Having a 15g/day ppl means you can have no more then 10 days supplies

I haven't, but I am expecting to get some BS about it... Please dismantle your grow, destroy anything you have in storage...yada yada yada..

yeah..like I'm going to toss my AAA buds in the garbage to go and BUY some shake at 10x's the price...

nothing in the mail for me yet. I'm sure its on its way though.... Tell them its in line to be destroyed but your facilities are only capable of incinerating a couple grams at a time.... I'm sure given the generous time frames they allow themselves they will appreciate that... Since when does the government have the right to demand you destroy legally obtained property without compensation?

well if the health canada intention is to create a thriving black market they are right on track
does anyone think that there is going to be huge demand for milled down shake at $14+ a gram when unmolested(well sorta) street weed is way more readily accessible and priced better?

overpriced bunk
15 grams max in a pack
shipping charges

Looks like market for micro grows, people growing a few lights and pricing it out at 120-140/oz. Stay under the radar and still make some $$$$$

There was an article about a month ago, in the Vancouver Sun, the Mayors Union of the Fraser valley of BC wanted all the names and addresses of MMAR participants in British Columbia(I will try to find the article and post it here in this thread).

They were totally denied, because MMAR participants are protected by the Canadian Privacy Act and the Charter. Why the Mayors wanted the addresses was because once the MMAR program is shut down completely and the MMPR is in total effect and force, Health Canada, no longer has a legal contract with any of the people enrolled in the MMAR program. HC will no longer have a legal contract with anyone that was a member in the MMAR program(PPL, DG, or just a Authorization to Possess). What this means is...HC can no longer inspect, request entry, or enforce any of the regulations of the now defunct MMAR program without a court order or search warrant.

The only way anyone can get a search warrant is by illegal means, which makes any evidence found inadmissible in court.

The Mayors Union is worried some MMAR patients will not shut down or dismantle there grow areas and there is no way to make sure that they have complied and there is no legal way of forcing them to comply. They can request, but since there is no longer a legal contract between HC and its members, participants don't have to comply. So...with that in mind, if you comply to the request of destroying all your medicine except 150 grams as of April 1/2014, it will be appsolutely up to you and a personal choice. No government agency will be able to confirm that you complied to the request of destroying all plants, all medicine(except 150 grams) or dismantle the grow area by the end date of the MMAR without a search warrant.

Personally...I grew it legally, I'm legally allowed to keep and use it.
Let them prove I only said I have complied and destroyed everything .

Peace...B

Here's the link I promised to the article I mentioned in my earlier post. That no one having the legal right to make anyone comply to request for destruction of plants, meds or dismantling your grow area.

Did your letter come with;
Health Canada
Marihuana Medical Access Program
clearly visible on the envelope?
Thanks HC for the blatant lack of privacy and security.
My mailman and half the town now know.
Not very smart HC, lots of possible ramifications to this blunder in security.

It sure did . This just ousted me to the postman whom is somewhat of a chatty nosy guy . Im glad he knows im getting mail related to marijuana now so all my Nabors can know now .. Thanks Health Canada hopefully this doesn't turn into a home invasion now .

It's a convenient way for all the municipalities to know exactly who needs remediation, and inspection, as well as the hefty 5K bills places like surrey have been quoting for said services eh.
Who needs to keep bugging HC, or worry about legal liabilities like HC would have to if they just handed over the names, when they can just do what they just did n make it so easy for both ends.
If nobody files against them than nopthing wrong's even been done in anyones eyes.
Was wondering how they'd get around privacy legalities if not just going against the laws, looks like they figured that out just fine.
I personally still wouldn't give a fuck myself, as exempt from the cdsa isn't a temorary thing no matter how hard the gov. pretends, but I bet it stops alot more patients from keepin on with thier grows for fear of the badges comming.

Fuck 'em, cheers all,................................gps

Honestly this probably came down to the cheapest option...regular mail is cheap for mass mailings...

Now violating section 8 of the privacy act...not so nice.

It could have been sent out with the renewals, with asolutely no added cost...we've been on notice for over a year now, so everyone would have renewed by the end date of Mar. 31/14. I'm sure it was a thought out process to do two things. Give the officials of all districts the info they wanted and to let the MMAR patients know they are now outed and better shut down.

Bad form HC...Very bad form.
