Hi peeps :)

Just a quick one .......

Ceiling fans like the ones you usually see in hotel rooms, are they suitable for use in a grow room environment ?

Ie constant use, does any one used or tried them out ? :tiphat:

It depends on the proposed use of a specific fan, some 6" fans that I have seen are £250 + and are totally silent, typically those used in commercial buildings as part of an integral drying system are ideal as they are used in the removal of humidity and temperature like a grow would need. I don't see why they wont work, which fan?

I see what you mean now. It would work but only so well, its a potential hazzard and possibly noisy I have had them in my bedrooms before great for hot nights and smoke removal but not as good as a carbon filter, RVK fan combo and a Bionair growforce osculation fan. Try one out see ho it goes.

They seem quite good high volume cooling fans, I must point out I don't need them for extraction I already have a 12" acoustic fan and filter, this is just to push air around.

I'm just thinking one big fan in a room would be quieter than 3 x 18" fans of lesser rating.
