"man of the world" is such a brilliant but very sad song,,remember doc with mick fleetwood saying " we were so young that we didnt pay much attention to the lyrics so didnt realize the trouble peter was in",,,long live peter green,,

The other thing I got from that documentary, was that it wasn't really his abuse of psychedelics that fucked him up. I remember John Mcvie saying that long before the acid, there were times when Pete just wasn't there with them, he'd be on stage doing his thing, but would just be somewhere else entirely. I think that whole doco is on YT.
I watched a great video of him showing his guitar collection. You expect it to be all vintage strats and lesters, and hand made customs, but quite a lot of them are affordable guitars.
Danny Kirwan is another sad story.

yeah,,i think from the doc,,you can see he is damaged even a bit of a "larcatil shuffle",,illness before the acid but it sure as shit didnt help his already fragile mental state and made matters much worse but seems much more "level" for want of a better word, these days..

Best blind purchase of an album all-time for me.

If you like classic rock and you haven't heard Nektar, you may like these guys. I sure did.

When I was still "Dancing with Mr Brownstone", that was my song to have a dig to. I'd start the song, cook my gear, get my vein, and wait until the solo was 5 seconds away before shoving it in. After I quit using I couldn't listen to this for about 5 years.

dildo or ?

If I'm honest mate, I can remember finding that too when I was looking for my confiscated Sega Game Gear. It was one of those one that are disguised as a cucumber. I bet you sleep better tonight knowing that.:tiphat:

no sleep here harry.:tiphat:

Put some (insert any sport) on the telly....Usually does the trick for me:biggrin:

Harry is not a sportsman, or a fan of watching it.
He's also the kind of pretentious numpty who talks about himself in the 3rd person.

Why they are never even mentioned in top 100 bands and artists beats me,
seems who you know matters more not what you can do.

I always like GFR...but, yeah, they don't get much respect. I actually see them as the butt of jokes frequently. Most often it seems they get criticized for not being very good musicians. But WTF...its only rock n roll, it's about a lot more than being accomplished musicians.

Although I don't think I'd pay to see them on one of their "oldies" tours nowadays...prefer to remember them as youngsters.
