ah yes, Uncle Sam has lost a drone and would like your help in finding it.......

http://news.yahoo.com/military-could-help-looking-drone-lost-lake-ontario-144230402.html

A $4 million military drone plopped out of the sky into Lake Ontario and now nobody can find it. The National Guard reported that one of its flying robots plummeted into the eastern part of the lake around 1 p.m. yesterday, but had to give up searching for it because of bad weather.

The MQ-9 Reaper was on a practice mission over the military-controlled waters when it suddenly crashed about three hours into its session. The unarmed drone was being operated from the New York Air National Guard's 174th Attack Wing in Syracuse. A Coast Guard vessel and helicopter were deployed to find it, but, uh, couldn't.

It's unclear what caused it to go down.

For now, other missions involving the Reapers have been cancelled with a board from the Air Force taking control of the investigation. At a press conference, Col. Greg Semmel explained the situation as best as he could:

"The mission was going as advertised, up to the point where we did lose control of the airplane," he said, adding that there were no injuries presumably because the drone is unmanned and the lake is very cold this time of year.

So, if you see something, say something.

Drones have been on routine patrol since 1996. Traffic picked up over the metro areas in 1999, right before Y2K, using Y2K as a pretext. Then 9/11 happened, and it's been full speed ahead since then.

The downing is to whip up dissent and identify targets electronically, and track the economy and spending patterns in commodities markets, both goods and services. It's referred to as shock testing.

Sales are measured by region and dumped into a super computing center to make predictions and identify patterns. I'd bet money on the operator making it go down. If it went down at all. I digress.

Drone malfunctions...Hits Navy ship
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/11/17/drone-navy-ship-california/
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Navy says an aerial target drone malfunctioned and struck a guided missile cruiser during training off Southern California, causing two minor injuries.
Lt. Lenaya (luh-NEY-yah) Rotklein of the U.S. Third Fleet said the accident on the USS Chancellorsville happened Saturday afternoon while the ship was testing its combat weapons system off Point Mugu.
She said two sailors were treated for minor burns after the ship was struck. She said the ship was heading back to Naval Base San Diego so that officials can assess the damage.
The Navy was investigating the cause of the drone malfunction.
Rotklein said the drone was being used to test the ship's radar. She had no immediate information on whether the drone has malfunctioned before.
About 300 crew members were aboard the ship.

Yeah, just ask the folks on the Edmond Fitzgerald.
I know a good Medium :blowbubbles:.

The Troll is probably the Kid behind the joystick of that drone.
Speaking of which,,, the Air National guard at the Dsm. International airport replaced Our F-16's with drones. the thought of having a drone base in the city nearest to Me really SUX.

Peace; 1TT
