Lovely ladies and an excellent thread!

Well thanks! I appreciate it.

Very nice - all around! Catch anything?

Thanks man. Yah I caught some fish although the bite wasn't too hot overall. This 2.5 lb brown trout was my best :) Hey congrats on the legalization vote in Portland!

Harvest went well and buds are curing nicely. Some nice smells starting to come out of the jars as they've had a couple weeks now. The best c99 has a nice deep smell of sweet, ripe kinda like a berry fruit type. Hard to put a description exactly but its got a nice dank smell. Other c99 has some similar tones but lighter on the smell overall. Jedi is also pretty pungent, more of a kushy/indica smell, sour and a little skunk. Ended up with 13 zips of buds from the best c99, 7 from the other c99 and about 7 from the Jedi. Also probably 6 or 7 oz of trim and small buds.

Harvest minus a few jars to my buddy :)

So when my outs came down that left me with no cannabis currently growing. I had a tough time keeping my keepers going over summer and regretfully I ended up scrapping everything as I wasn't getting any cuts from the moms to root. There was one Maui Waui I really wish I woulda been able to keep. Thankfully I do have seeds with her genetics in them. So I'm on a bit of a cannabis growing break but I'm hoping to pop some beans maybe after Thanksgiving.

Until then I got some carrots going.. also finally dug into the worm bin and was able to pull out probably 15 or 20 lbs of castings. Poor worms I've been neglecting them for the past few months, gonna get them all set up and happy again soon. Happy growing everyone!

Congratulations on the haul GB! Hell of a job! Might even be enough there to make through that harsh Cali winter.

Are you going to run indoor or veg some monsters for spring planting?

:shucks: Wish I had a worm bin.

I love this time of year and I hope the holiday season is good for everyone reading this... Its starting out really good for me and its just a nice time to feel like you are blessed. God, Jah, the Almighty whatever you call Him.. for me lately I've been feeling very thankful for my life's blessings. Smoking some good weed is definitely a good way to get in that frame of mind.

Anyways, yah weed and spending a little more than a week in a place like Hawaii better make you feel thankful right? Had a great time with the family.. Made some cookies and brought some of my own bud and joints and it worked out great! Got a couple other flower shots too...

So now that I'm back I'm gonna attempt to crack some seeds and see what I can get going inside. I'm gonna shoot for getting 4 of each strain going and then sex/and flower in 1 gals... try to take some cuts as well and find some new keepers maybe? I also have two single seed fem freebies that are a couple years old now that I'll try to sprout..

We'll see how it goes.. It seems like I've been busy so I hope I can devote enough time to make it work! This is what I'm planing to run...

Two fem freebies labelled..
Delicious seeds - Cotton Candy
Samsara seeds - Green Love Potion

Then from crosses I made... they all have c99 in them

C99 x Purple Kush
C99 x Headband
C99 x Maui 1
C99 x Maui 2
C99 x (C99 x Maui 2)

I'm excited to get this going, it will be a nice holiday diversion and way to spend some of those extra days off. Compost pile is looking nice, the worms are in there working hard and in a couple more months will hopefully be powering some new sexy ladies as they get ready to flower =)

Hey thanks for the kind words... I've enjoyed c99 and i'm looking forward to trying the few diff seed crosses with c99 i've got popping now!

Great trip pics GB. Good luck on the pop.

Thanks wild, yah a couple week break with nothing growing was long enough, especially after checking all the journals and stuff on here. It kinda gets that itch going :)

Nice work! Looking forward to seeing the C99 x's in action!

Thanks OKD, hey congrats on your recent harvest!

Well I was able to get my veg cab cleared out and cleaned up, and prepped for some newbies coming in :) So I soaked them in water for about 8 hours, then into moist paper towel inside ziplock/tupperware, and onto the seedling heat mat.

After 36 hrs or so I checked and total so far is 17/32 cracked and planted. Some had some nice long tails already, esp the c99 x headband, and c99 x maui 2. None of the c99 x purp kush cracked yet... surprising because the seeds look great from the outside.

I got the bright idea to use my extra pot saucers to make a little greenhouse. I swear I have never babied the seeds this much. I feel like I was a surgeon gently placing the taps into their little holes.. funny. But after cracking 10/10 on the c99s and only having 7 come up I wanted to make sure I was doing what I could.

Got alot of these little ones popping up and looking up to the t-5s! Pretty good rates, lost a couple that had some stem damages. Several seeds didn't pop, although two more c99 x pk finally did after sitting in the paper towel for another whole week.

Also I was able to run my trim and little stuff from recent harvest through the ice and bags and get a few piles of hash! From past experience I wanted to try and not be too rough with it, and I'm happy with what I got :)

Seedlings are coming along, they all have had new leaves curling up. I've never had that happen so widespread before and the only difference in the cab is that this is the first time i've run the t-5. From what I gathered is the leaves are doing that to try and conserve moisture, either too much light from the t5s or too hot. Temps hadn't seemed to be too high (70-80) so I moved the lights up quite a bit and they are getting better. Shop lights never made seedlings curl like that in my experience...

Anyways, things are looking good, heres a couple shots how things are looking, a wide shot and then a little closer shot of the c99 x headbands.

Growbig,

Just read your entire thread and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it! I can tell that you are in it for the love...

I am interested in your cab... Could you post some more pics and measurements? Is it just built into the corner of your garage and vented outside/attic?

Nice! Desert Dan is the man :) Hey thanks for checking it out and the nice words. In it for the love for sure... its one of those good things in life for me definitely, loving the herb!

Yah so my cab is built into the corner of the garage. I had built the shelves a couple years earlier and it just happened to work good for the layout of a 3 tier grow cab. footprint is 4' wide x 2' deep, split into 3 diff cabs.. flowering on the bottom with about 45" height, veg cab in the middle with about 32" height, then ballast/storage/venting cab on top.

flower/veg cabs have passive air intakes from the lower level cabinet to the left of the flower cab which is my storage/drying cabinet. Ducting from the cool tube in the flower cab heads up through to the top cabinet and hooks onto a Y 6" adapter. Veg cab pulls air in and exhausts through a hole in the cab roof to the top cab. Fan/filter in the attic above garage pull air up from the garage through the cab and then exhausts in the attic.

Awesome!!! Definitely appreciate the tour. That is a clean little perpetual setup. Did you just take a sheet of plywood and cut out the doors with a jigsaw? If you could find a way to duct air from your your house to your intakes during the summer, then you could probably run the cab year round.

Yep pretty much with the plywood.. caulking and weatherstripping to help seal and light proof. It works great for me, and even tho I kinda do have to shut down over the summer, then I get to grow outside which to me is even better :)

Yah if I could keep it a bit cooler in the summer it would also help me keep my veg cab plants and keepers alot healthier over the summer.
