Warren Zevon...one of my all time favorites. He is unknown to many people, and he really doesn't get the respect he deserves. Classically trained musician, amazing song writer with a dark and somewhat bizarre sense of humor in his lyrics. Rock N Roll wild child with a penchant for inebriation. One of those whose voice you either love or hate...I fuckin love his voice.
He performed on David Letterman's show about 20 times over the years, and would also periodically fill in for Dave's band leader Paul Schaeffer when he went on vacations, etc. This series of videos are from his last appearance with Dave. He had recently been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and would die from it a little less than a year later. First video is the chat he and Dave have before he performs, I think it is absolutely worth watching. I think Warren was Dave's favorite musical artist, and although Dave hold's it together, you can tell he's hurting inside. Warren's voice isn't as strong as normal, but the softer quality adds a quality that is very fitting for the night.
These might not be of interest to you unless you are a fan of his, they aren't his best performances, but these are very special. Audio/visual quality is pretty poor, unfortunately.

The awesome Battle of the beanfield. The footage is from the real event. Almost 30 years. My mate has a scar right across his face from the filth splitting it open with a truncheon, Seriously he looks like Omar little, but white, with blue dreads and a dog on a piece of string. I say in 2015, we should invade Stonegenge and show the ****s who owns it.

Cardboard box city (thanks to the con-Dem's cuts, this song is becoming increasingly relevant in Britain again.

Another Man's cause. I don't agree with thier position on the Falklands, but as a story song, coming from the POV of a military widow seeing her son follow in Daddies footsteps breaks my heart. I literally get a shiver every time I listen to it.

England my home, sadly now adopted by a lot of unsavoury wrong wing nitwits whining about seeing brown faces.

One of, if not the best British live bands now or ever.
