exactly what the title says..i just bought 3 pci cards for cctv .. so ill be able to have 12 cameras.. I want to put 4 outside. 4 inside point at the doors coming in.. and windows that could be accessed if extremely desperate. and the other 4 watching the rest of the house.

just want to see what others have either made to place hidden cameras in.. or were u guys put them for the best of the best..

what have you used to hide them.? don't get me wrong I don't want to hide them all.. just 2 of the outdoor ones.. that face the street and driveway.. so I can see if any weird vehicles are coming down the street scoping out the place. people are getting BROKER AND BROKER and more and more Desperate. I just need to make sure my medicine STAYS my MEdicine.

thanks for the ideas.. I got one in a bush.. that u cant see it even from an inch away from the bush.. and the other few are same kinda situation.. trees in the yard.. and 2 coming out of the attic vent on each side of the house watchin front and back doors.. talk about feeling secure.. I like having a single screen that I can look at and see every way into my house.. but with wiretapping laws.. I mite disconnect all of the audio besides inside.

The camera in your bush, is the view obscured by foliage? id imagine thats the tradoff for hiding it so well...

On the other hand, setting up a couple conspicuously obvious, empty, non-working cams might ward off any intrusion which is the ultimate goal after all. Maybe a couple "Beware of viscous dogs" signs too might be cool too. Rippers would definitely think twice about hitting an apparently well protected target.

It's a bit late as you have already invested in the PCI cards. But for others considering this, take a look at IP cameras. They can be an affordable alternative to analog cameras and do not require any special hardware on your pc. Many come with free dvr software and can be accessed by any pc on your network.

They can be wired (cat5) or wireless.
