Alright guys, it's confirmed, Technaflora pH Down is complete garbage and should be avoided at all cost.

My 1 gallon 6.3 pH water turned into 7.0 pH overnight.

Looks good to me. When you flipping them?

I would say soon?

It's nice to see you here denny, your grow thread actually inspired me to start growing using MaxiBloom only.
And yes, I'll be flipping them in 3 days.

Cool deal.

Can't wait to see it. I won't be running my 400w for a while. So at least I can watch a similar grow.:tiphat:

For what it's worth, I learned the overwater and ph thing the hard way too. There was also a bit of 'loving them to death' for me too.

When I started just using straight 7.0ph tap mixed with nutes (drops to 6.2 or so) and only watering a couple times a week everything worked much better for me as well. I was also guilty of having them in too large a pot for the stage they were in.

Once the roots catch up to the container, you don't have soggy soil issues. Only conscious thing I did was add a lot (1/3) of perlite to the soil ... that really helped gas exchange too.

Looking good! Waiting on flower shots!

Yeah, things are about to get real very soon so I'm hoping overfeeding is gonna be my last screw up of this grow.
I shouldn't make any more mistakes really cause i've done them all, from light burn to nute burn.

Here we finally are, day 1 of flowering.

Not much happened last week, i flushed WR#2 because it looked very sick.
Now, it leaves are up and turning back into a light green tint.

Most plants skipped a feeding because they're healthy and don't look hungry.
That's about it, i'm flipping them tonight at 8pm.

The reason why WR#3 looks so beat up is because my fan has been blowing air on it ever since veg started.
So, I moved the fan to the other side, I'm sure WR#2 can handle a little wind.

Edit: I flushed WR#3 right before light out, it looked like crap and had rust spot all over it.

Flowering Day 7

The leaves are a bit pale and some of the lower ones turned completely brown and died.
I'm hoping it's normal and they're just a bit over watered because i haven't figured out exactly how much water to give them at this point.

They're also stretching nicely and went from about a foot tall to 1.8 FT in a single week.
Hopefully they're gonna slow down a bit because height is gonna start becoming an issue.
Fun fact, the one plant i light burned, nute burned and over watered turned out to be the nicest looking one. (First one on the left)

I'm gonna switch to my HPS bulb next week.

Flowering Day 14

Lower leaves have been dying on all the plants.
First they turn yellow and then brown, I'm not sure if that's normal or not.

It could be over watering but honestly, i'm watering every 4-5 days until run off when the pots are feather light.
So if that's over watering, i really can't do anything about it.

I also switched from MH to HPS 4 days ago and buds immediately started appearing all over the plants.
That's it for today.

...dieback down below is normal, very little light penetrates down to the bottom.

...here is a thread that is well worth the read that will teach you a little something about removing unneeded vegetation.

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=174163Defoliation: Hi-Yield Technique?

...btw, back before i switched to coco hempy buckets i grew in organic soil and i had a recurring problem losing plants that suffered from wet feet, my cab at the time wasn't perfectly level so the plants in the back ended up sitting in the runoff.

...i struggled to find an answer before the simple solution occurred to me, which is simply to be sure you put an inch or two of hydroton or grorocks or gravel or something into the bottoms of your pots so even if the runoff puddles it won't puddle above that layer so it won't leave the soil constantly sitting in liquid.

...here's a look at the cab in question, just for shits and giggles.

...good luck with your first crop, may you have many more.

I went a bit scissor happy this morning.
I removed all the yellow lower leaves or about to turn yellow or with black spots/rust spots on them and a couple 1 inch tall branches.
So if those black/rust spots start appearing on my middle/top leaves I'll know for a fact something very wrong is going on.

Flowering Day 21

pH fluctuation among other things really fucked up my plants, the leaves are twisted and covered in blueish/black spot.
However, thanks to this site and my new pH formula, i know how to fix it and they should be back to normal in a few days.

Here's a picture of the healthiest plant.
