got out to see bobs bunker to today and am happy to report everything is humming along nicely. there are buds forming up on all plants and there is enough room for them all to have space. took camera but left memory card at home so sorry no pics, will try again next time i am out there...the watering system still needs a little fine tuning but is working well enough atm. the plants will be trimmed up next week to remove leaves that are shading bud sites and will try and get some before/after shots...

finally an update...

well temps are still a issue, every plant has signs of heat stress and we have dropped each light back to 400sl watts. even with the fans going strong, noise be damned, we couldn't get the temps low enough...bugger...looks like we will either run on the lower wattage or get cool tubes...

blumants will be the next upgrade with the next crop...just can't get the drippers right....

all the plants are budding nicely and here are a few before/after trimmed shots

update

update

finally got back out to the bunker to see how things are progressing...

heat has still been an issue and so i bought Bob and bigger fan for below the lights that creates a much bigger draft zone. this is working very well and he has bumped the lights back up...so fingers crossed.

must of the plants are doing well, however the kalichakra is still not reacting well to the environment and the decision has been made not to run this strain till possibly next winter.

the white widow is just BOOMING...

and the mazari is packing on the weight...

and the NL#5 is humming along nicely...this one will also be for the next run or so. both the white widow and mazari are proving to have the better benefits, with a 75/25 mix providing the best results when made into butter.

will try and get better shots next time, but it is getting harder to move around with the extra large fan in the tent....

things in the bunker are still moving along...but the heat seems to be slowing things down, but there is no hurry...steady as she goes....

the kalichakra looks like it should be put out of its misery....one sad looking plant...if i was pushed for room i would remove it but it is developing small crystal covered nuggets so it can stay for now...

picture.php

the white widow on the other hand...whilst mildly affected by the heat...still knows how to throw out buds...

will take her for another 4 weeks or so...the buds have not started swelling yet so they should hopefully put on a heap more size and weight

the mazari is still plugging along throwing out hard sticky buds...will leave her till a see at least 50% amber...i need some sleep tonic as my current stash is lacking this atm...

picture.php

the 2 NL#5 are developing quite differently with one have a 1/3 more size and weight than the other...usually these plants are identical...

picture.php

the bigger plant is shown...

the veg tent will soon to be carefully managed as over crowding is likely given that they will still have 4 weeks of time before moving into the flower tent....

The bunker looks on the up and up. Have you tried to diagnose the leaf droop and curling/clawing. There are a number of things that are claimed to cause this.

thanks for popping in sleep...heat is the main issue and hopefully new fans will do a much better job by removing more heat quieter...

What kind if ventilation set up do you currently have? I don't have heat issues yet, and with my window a/c and just the one 600w won't until the dead of summer, but just a proper fresh air exchange is in my near future.

when i help Bob plan his grow he took on himself to super size the lights and tent (was to be a 600 watt in a 1.2x1.2m tent) to 1200 watts in a 1.8x1.8m tent. he did buy a bigger fan but skimped on quality buying a cheap inline fan that is really noisy. we directly vent from above the lights but can't pull enough heat out without it sounding like a mack truck...i have since added an active intake which helped some and bought a bigger fan for creating an air curtain around the lights. we still have heat issues as the area where the grow is situated is not air conditioned. so once this grow is finished i will be able to get in and replace the exhaust fan with a new can fan to pull a heap more heat out

Remember if you don't have a properly sized intake, your fans will be starved thus causing static pressure. Which means although the fan is blowing air, its working on overtime trying to move its rated CFM, pulling higher amperage, and actually creating heat. Not to mention the life of your fan becomes compromised.

i have active and passive intakes that would 3 - 4 times the size of the outlet so no issues there...i don't get the sides of the tent sucking in at all from neg pressure created by the current exhaust fan and don't expect to do so with the new fan...if i do i will make the intakes bigger...

well new fans are on the way....these will make it far more pleasant for both tents...

I hope this is a fix to your heat issues and noise problem. If not, look into duct silencers. The work pretty well.
