I did see on TV a middle aged woman whose horse had just won. she wanted to thank all her friends and supporters for believing in her ... as if SHE'D done something and not the horse. silly woman. silly rich woman.

Sorta like saying a football coach has nothing to do with there team winning....but she is fealing alot better than the poor woman at the races today who was walking the winning horse back n got king hit by some crazy guy who may have been her hubby or ex hubby i think

dunno whether we're both on the same page here, PPG, but ... Coaches are responsible for team building which certainly contributes to winning and losing ...

so you're meaning ... a Trainer's techniques and strategies lead to the horse being a winner?

maybe so but I reckon she's right up herself that woman ... that rich woman ...

Ive never like the Racing Industry maybe because Ive seen what happens outside off race day, a lot of coverage is given to what a wonderful life a champions race horse lives and how glamorous getting dressed up for race day is but little is given to the misery that awaits a horse that doesn't make the cut "most of them"

LIFE AFTER RACING
“Wastage” is a racing term that refers to horses prematurely withdrawn from racing. What happens to them?

The fate of racehorses after racing is one of the industry’s dirtiest and best kept secrets. Their lives are cut short by greed as their owners seek to make a profit at all costs.

For the 70% of failed racehorses who do not even run a single race, their lives are immediately expendable. Keeping them is not an option and they’re discarded like defective goods.

These out-of-date or defective horses are usually sent to saleyards. They’re mostly bought by knackeries for as little at $150, the owners extracting a final payment from their lives cut short. In some cases, studs have arrangements with knackeries selling them directly on request.

The few horses which escape the trip to the knackery are destined for an even bleaker fate, a life of cruelty through neglect and abandonment. Looking after a horse is an expensive hobby due to the costs of agistment, feed, water, riding and grooming equipment.

Horses sold to riding schools or trail-riding clubs can lead a miserable life of hard work, improper care and insufficient feed.

RSPCA president Hugh Wirth commented on the RSPCA's contact with ex-racehorses: “We tend to see the worst abuse [of ex-racehorses], which is the end result of a disastrous trail through multiple owners, from racecourse down to standing neglected in one of these paddocks... owned but not cared for and starving”

Horse racing, industrial live stock all the same thing this info is no surprise

things have to die so that others can live. natural law. but social blinkers are required to see the racing industry as glamorous. natural wank!

Gota say theres not 1 coach in professional rugby / nrl/ afl/ cricket in australia that is on a selctors board or makes any decicions about whos on there team.

And yes i believe a Trainer's techniques and strategies have a part in the horse being a winner.

I was an industrial/house/auto painter in various of my previous lives and you want el cheapo PVA. it's non poisonous and stops giving out fumes quickest of the paints. it's the cheapest too.

crazy clarks? maybe. bummings has it, but in 20L.

Lets call her Mary.
Mystery bag seed, sativa dominant, easy cloner, big stretch, runs 12 + weeks in flower, up, clear, cant sleep high. Been running it for a while, keeps getting better each round as I get the hang of her. Earthy smell and taste, buds a bit fluffy, but kind of nice. Wonder whats in it. (lineage) Any ideas?

brother Hood, I is thinking it's good yr plant has no name.

when I see some of the names of new strains like kandy this or kandy that or kush bush or fuck knows what else ... I think ... these names would suit advertisements for feminine hygene products.

Har, har! crusty old fart chuckles at the antics of young blokes ...

I say long live bag seed!

Har har this is a fun old smoke.

Har har this is a fun old smoke.

Sometimes we can get a bit uptight about the whole growing thing.
In the spirit of taking a more relaxed approach, today I left in in the sun all day.
Now it looks like this
