Hey there,

Great job on that OG. I too am growing SVF OG organic and was wondering, how long do these ladies go before you harvest? Mine are at 57 days and don't look ready yet...

Took me long enough to answer, eh? SFV OG and what I grow now (Legend OG) are both excellent cropper strains because they can be pulled pretty early and still be damned impressive. Ideally, though, I make sure the pistils are about 80-90% brown. Days? Not sure. I, honestly, stopped counting days years and years ago. You may see me giving flowering days in other posts or even magazine articles, but those are just estimates. I always go by whether they're ripe and flushed properly... and that's exactly when they're ready, no matter what strain. :) cc

Just scored this cut from a trusted member of the canna community, thanks bro you know who you are!
Hope all is well, I've read about everything you've said/done with this cut Crazy Composer, especially how you get yours to yield lol, just wondering what differences you've noticed when you've top dressed guanos weekly vs biweekly? ....don't think I've seen it asked yet, I fed my SFV leaning Motorbreath biweekly and she yielded very nice but I had a li'l room to feed her a bit more ...probably because of the Chem D!

I've got a cut of what has been "guaranteed" to be the real deal SFV OG coming in a couple weeks. If it looks anywhere near as beautiful as yours I'll be overjoyed. I generally run 12 plants in 3 gal. smart pots., pro mix amended with perlite and worm castings, under 4 1,000w Hortilux super HPS...and I would be very pleased to to pull five zips per girl. You've got her perfectly dialed in and salute your work, my good sir.

The difference between feeding guano every week VS. once every two weeks? The number of fungus gnats, that's the difference. :)

Lol ...those li'l bastards starting to get annoying, good thing I have some Sea-90 on hand to eradicate them! I like to see gnats present though, let's me know the fungus levels are abundant in my soilmix. I grew my Motorbreath using your method but biweekly and added GO Cal/Mg and she yielded great (4.5 oz/3 gal pot) and I was under a serious root aphid attack at the time so I know she would have gave me more, I got the RA's under control now ..I hope, and 2 more MBs going @ 2 weeks 12/12 I've got one on the weekly and the other on bi- and the weekly is a beast, she's alot bigger than her sis who I'll have to start feeding the same, thanks for the reply CC can wait to run the SFV, I already have the Ghost!

PS ....I knew your named looked familiar, couldn't figure out from where till I saw it posted here, I used to read to shiz outta Headz mag bro, the issue with the best strains for sleep, laughing, playing music, etc. was one of my favs ...bought a pack of Bubbleberry which I was very pleased with because of it! I recently had her back from my homie to make a few crosses to play with later!

Yeah the drying your soil method really works well but the Sea-90 sea minerals (1tsp/gal) toast the larvae and the adults have a short life span, they usually die in a couple of days since they don't eat, all they do is mate and lay eggs ....no new larvae can survive/thrive when they hatch and the cycle ends ....Sea-90 is great stuff!!!

just got this cut so decided to research some grow methods for yield. Looks fire CC!!! At what point do you put trellises on them?

I have what appears to be the same cut. I'm growing big plants in big fabric pots. 1 per light. The SFV actually seems to be pretty well suited to this but I would be lying if I said it hasn't been without it's challenges. It needs a lot of support. Very floppy by week 4-5. Next time I will do two layers of trellis.

I think I still have some things to learn about this plant. I can't seem to get her to be quite as happy as everything else. Maybe it's normal for her to yellow quickly during flower?

The quality and yield are great but I know I can do better. I'm glad I found this thread.
