Black Widow Grow Diary

Hey mate, Any chance of some pics from just before you harvested this lot? I bet it looked quite spectacular just before harvest. They look very healthy in that last update. I see you have defoliated a lot of the under growth, would you please explain to me why you did this and the benefits of it?

Also, I noticed in your last update that you have 2 bulbs hanging diagonally. More vertically than horizontally. Is there any reason for this?

kick ass set up bro, which is your more preferred pheno? indian or Brazilian in terms of smoke.
I think some people are confused that this is different to white widow but its not, its the only legit white widow out there because shantibaba(mr nice) has the original parents but had to change the name. Your grow is proof of this.

If you haven't already, check out Ace seeds if you like worked landraces. by the looks of your setup i think you would love orient express (heavy yielding asian sativa dom) or panama which is around the same time flowering as your black widow.

I found the best pheno for my needs was the probably close to a 50/50 cross. Great plant structure. Ready to pull in 10 weeks. Nice little white nugglets. Great overall pheno.

Will look into ace seeds have been eyeing them up for awhile.

Unfortunately that run suffered a water pump timer failure and I had to pull them early and throw in some more along with a more reliable timer.

The defoliated under growth is a thing I started doing awhile back. I think they call it "lollypopping". I find it eliminates a lot of the airy popcorn growth below the canopy and the energy is sent to more productive bud sites.

The 2 vertical bulbs.. I guess it was just easier as this grow is using spare equipment I had so I skipped on the shades. The tent also runs cooler using multiple smaller bulbs.

I'm currently in a final stages of setting up another grow in a 2x2m(7x7ft) tent with 3000w. Will be flowering some black widows along with a bunch of other strains. Will update again soon :)
