happy Monday everybody! enjoying the talk of teas...I've been enjoying experimenting with my own recipes and the various pre packaged tea mixes that are starting to flood the market. im looking forward to trying out the biowar teas..here are some shots of a couple chocolopes that were taken down this weekend. right around 70 days. they got hit with OG Teas Veganic Special Sauce once a week thru flower..they came out pretty nice I think! have a great week everybody....peace

I have a question for Raz and DZLHIT or to any other of you guys that reuse their soil.


I use fafard promix (#3 I believe) so what I'm doing is different but I'd like to know what you guys are doing with your soil between runs to be able to reuse it if you don't mind sharing with me?

I feed my girls by adding nutes to my water and feed them that way. I used to buy new bales of mix every run and discard or save my used dirt for outdoor gardens or find some use for them. But now that I'm using even bigger containers for my girls I think its wasteful to replace all of it every run so I'm curious what you guys are doing to reuse it.

I always screen everything. I built a screen that fits over my garden cart, and my cart holds one of the large, black concrete mixing trays from HD. So I dump my dried out stump bucket on the screen, shake out the rootball and toss.
I amend the used stuff w/ compost, store in a big Rubbermaid, and dump a gal or two of hydrozyme mix in to work up the root remnants. I try and let it sit @ least 6 wks, but usually a full rd.
Been building up new stuff like a mofo, using my vermacompost.

This is my first time reusing any old soil from a previous run on a new run. Last cycle I used big 18 gal totes so the only part Im reusing this time was what I was able to separate easily from the root balls. But I still have a few contractor bags filled with big rootballs holding a bunch of soil on them. So maybe I'll separate it somehow or I might just have to go make a new garden plot to grow more veggies next year. Then it will go to good use one way or another.

Roll daddy there's a bunch of good reamendment mixes in the whorganic forum

I'd def do it how hl goes w storing it in totes for a full round.... by the cu. Ft. .... 1cup kelp...2 soft rock phosphate/rock dust/mineral.... 10-20% ewc/compost.... crushed oyster shell/Epsom salt or d.lime depends on the strain and how much they eat or don't... if ya run ECSD you'll need 1cup per cu.ft. she's a hog....N source of your choice but this will be where you need to judge it off the strains you'll use and how they handled the last round ... too much... too little ect.... but seriously check out some of the listed recipes and make tweaks to those depending on what's available for you and you can always supplement w bacteria rich teas in veg and fungal rich teas in flower

I feed my girls when I water them by mixing everything in my rez then water them. My medium doesn't have ferts in it. It's mostly peat and perlite. The reason I usually just replace it is to keep everything clean, new and fresh. Now that I'm using bigger containers I want at the least reuse some of it. But I didn't think it's a good idea to be using dirt that has pieces of old roots in it. So I'm reusing the dirt that didn't stay stuck in the footballs. Thanks for the heads up about which threads to check. I just want to figure what people ate doing to separate the root matter from the soil. At the end of each run I flush plenty and I use h2o2 with my waterings so I think that soil is all good and clean besides the roots in it.

i love the mini hitman 710 cup judging rig and the other hitman colab. These nails are the shit ca drop globs on globs. The real fun is the 3 person (you can plus it up with octopus tentacles) Ukiah hooka... that separates the men from the boys by dropping 1/2 grams onto the nail lol

Aww shit are we posting glass collections now? Ukiah is a beast is that ones yours?? I love glass. Hitmans are dope little pieces, made by the same people who do roor, zob, etc but they def have the best designs on the hitman stuff.

yea man thought id post some glass up hahah. im a huge fan of anything ukiah for sure. the hitmans are clutch for sure. thats my homies i wish i could say it was mine but i use it just as much as he does. Always taking huge pulls off of it for sure. Had a few people go lights out at the Hash Bash in maine from it. best part of people talking a big game on dabbing is putting them in a dab hole after the 1st rip hahahaha

Yeah ukiah is old school style heady, he def throws it down. I've prob posted some of these before but fuckit. I been into heady glass since I first strolled into opm when I was like 16, luckily strolled into one of the best shops on the east coast. I've got a bunch of scientific stuff but only been collecting headpieces for a bit over a year though.

Here's my daily driver, def posted thing one before, mini fab egg from the mothership with an enail. Kinda dirty, this one get used more than anything for sure. These are scientific not heady but damn they are still crazy, I don't understand how they make them at all.

Here's a handspun mini tube from jake c, who is also part of mothership. This was made late 2011. He did the color pull himself. Hard to capture in pics but it changes from amber to blueish to silvery depending on how ya hold it in the light. No clue what that color is called.

Here's a marbleslinger, def a nice travel rig very small good for tasters. I don't know is slinger made the colors himself, but they are slime and unobtainium.

Here's my favorite. Custom mike fro rig and a matching dish. There were 4 in this set, all were customs, otto and tc have 2 of the others. This picture sucks but the linework is crazy fine. Mike made all of the colors for them himself. The wags are black + white + rainbow and the wraps are serendipity. I wanna get some other matching stuff for this as he still has the rods, maybe a sherlock or shotglass and mib. Mike also does klein-style recyclers like how quave makes. Also got a martini dabber set from nirtywerk. I think there were 7 or 8 of the red olives made.

Would love to try blowing glass someday. It's like anything else, just need someone good to teach ya!

Haha good eye!! Thats an old phish show that a friend traded for. He has a massive collection of phish and dead tapes, like boxes upon boxes, and let's me borrow em. Oldest dead one was 67 and the sound was pretty famn good considering. Way different than listening to soundboard recordings. I'm used to just downloading shows.
