Day 42 Bloom Update

Unit:

Side:

ISP:

GBS:

Data:

The chunking has commenced! On the data sheet you can see how I have bent the nutes to the PK side. The plants should start to slow their overall rate of nute consumption. The side shot shows all of the relative heights, along with some of the slight yellowing that happens as we start jamming stacks on the buds.

The GBS has started making huge sparkling spires. Even the ISP has come back to give us a couple beauty shots. I’m happy with the canopy - it’s pretty even and I only miss guessed a couple plants.

It looks like it won’t be too long before the third level of trellis will be needed to hold up some of these stanky girls.

After all this time, it’s hard to believe there are only 3 weeks left!

As always, your comments and questions are welcome.

They are looking good. Thanks again for sharing. Here is what I ended up doing for my Trellis. I flipped the PVC frame upside down and removed the legs...stuck bamboo sticks in the corners and proceeded to form a Bamboo Support structure with zip ties.

Day 49 Bloom Update

Unit:

GBS:

RES:

CVS:

Data:

Here we are going into the home stretch! Everyone is chunking up nicely and the smells are getting more intense.

Eating has slowed to 10-15 ppm per day while the pH remains quite solid. Pistols are starting to turn and the trich levels have gone up a notch.

I have a large pheno GBS that continues to impress. CVS has the most garlic aroma. ISP has a couple stinky phenos as well. A couple RES phenos look to finish ahead of the pack.

Several plants will need extra third tier support.

The anticipation is killing me! It’s been very hard to resist early sampling, but I don’t want to skew the data.

As always, your comments and questions are welcome.

I use Botanicare Cal-Mg. In this case I'm using very low levels to help the ISP deal with it's problems. It is not normally required.

I left off the LL to reduce the variables in this experiment. It helps green the leaves, but AT does as well. Just trying to reduce confusion.

Best of luck on your run!

Thanks AK, just started new run last night with the new tea receipe. Hit the ladies in my
turbocloner with a small dose, and they really responded well to it. New grow log starting
soon. Gl OG.

All the flowers look great.

What a great idea for a thread. You can really see how og and sd could be not too far away from the chem line, genetically speaking.

Great job AK, keep it up.

Thanks everyone for the positive vibes.

OG - I'll be sure to watch! I have a few other folks trying S/B-A as well. I'll be around if you need me. It isn't science until results can replicated. Thank you for your contributions!

Day 56 Bloom Update

Unit:

GBS:

CVS:

ISP:

Data:

Almost there! The plants are starting to finish, in fact I had one GBS that decided it was done on day 55. There are several CVS and RES phenos that I will cut within the next few days. One thing to keep in mind about bloom time length, is that it is shortened with aero by about 1 day for every two weeks. So these plants are where they would be at about day 60 in dirt.

The plants have slowed their eating to a crawl. I expect to stop feeding in a couple days and just let them run out to the end. There is no need to flush with these very low ppms - just letting them starve for the last couple days does the trick.

In the pics I have tried to give shots that show different phenotypes of the strains. The GBS shot has the huge 2 liter bud pheno along with a projected denser keeper. In the CVS shot you can see that they are almost done. On the right you can see one of the “ragged top” phenos. The shorty ISPs are looking better and producing nice buds.

I’m gearing up for the finish. There are so many great looking plants in this mix its hard to pick photos. Testing and data recording will keep me plenty busy for the next bit.

The End is Near!

AK, beautiful job as always. I was surprised the AT kept the ph so stable. Looking forward to yield, taste and high report!

Day 63 Bloom Update

Unit:

GBS:

ISP:

Data:

Half of the plants have been cut and the rest will come down over the next three days.

The ISP have the most intriguing smell, while the giant GBS has a more rangy-spice aroma.

Initial smoke reports are promising and 3 tester parties are being arranged to evaluate a small mountain of samples.

This will be the last bloom update. The next update will be “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly” where I will go through all the issues found in the grow. In about 2 weeks I’ll release the final report - where a complete analysis of each strain will be presented along with the final awards.

It’s been a long ride to get here - but it’s time to reap the rewards for all this work.

Thank you all for your attention and as always, your comments and questions are welcome.

As always AeroKrafter darn fine work bro. After reading most of your threads made me break out my aeroflo20. Any chance for another rookie grow along?

I have the SBA version of the Rookie Grow Together happening at C annaZon. There are currently 6 participants and looking for more.

My adventures are now spread across 3 boards as I have built relationships with other growers and breeders. I still consider IC Mag home, but you have to be in several places if you want to see the big picture of whats going on in the Cannaworld.
