Randy,

Looks nice. How about a smoke report after breakfast?

OK, I feel good, like I want to go out and do stuff, motivated. It comes on by the first half of a thinish joint. It's sunny out so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Real floaty, all head, lots of thoughts coming and going but all positive and constructive. I feel IRIE!

HAITIAN SATIVA: JUST TOO JUICY TO LET SLIDE. :)

is there a haitian sativa aspect to the nyc/cuban haze?

it does'nt get much stronger then this!!she has the best of both worlds giving a very trippy ceriabral effect, clearly from her haitian inherittence and a nice heavy calming body stone thanks to the north indian indica traits.the flavour is incredible almost like a haze and the buzz is out of this world.

Frankies....Uptown Haze...the Piff....the Church....its from Florida, originally brought from Haiti/Domenican Republic. Apparently its from seeds of plants that have been grown there for generations. It's a 12 to 14 week flower and has that distinct dank church, dead flowers in dank vase water smell. It's fuckin divine...

It was around before 2004, I smoked it before 2004. It got really popular around that time(I remember paying 75 bucks for 3 grams in 05) but then the quality went to shit because cats were trying to cash in on the name. This is where cats were running lbs up and calling it NYC Haze.

The actual Piff was grown in the industrial parts of the Bronx, hence the name Uptown Haze. Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn all have old buildings deep in industrial parks that are the greatest cover for big grows and hardly any traffic goes thru these places. We're talking 30kw+ grows, stolen power, the whole shebang. Imposters are grown elsewhere and shipped in and these days to get the real Piff you really gotta know some people...if it even exists anymore.

As Sativa as it gets. Seriously acid trippy profoundness to the high with a sweet aromatic taste. The motherplant is Haitian Sativa and its father is a Cape Tribulation Sativa ( which is PNG Gold). Needless to say, it wants to get big. Indoors is just not viable for this strain, as from 12/12 start the mature plant reached 1.8mtrs. Outdoor will be easily 3-5 metres. Flowering is long too. Classic 13-17 weeks. Closer to 15 weeks properly. The high is profound and very trippy, is creepy in onset and rushes hard from there to a limitless ceiling. Grow Environment : Outdoor Tropical only Flowering Time: 13-17 weeks.

thanks for the heads up gert lush! :)

^ yeah, nb has png in it but also haitian sativa. the only other haitian sativa strain i could find was karina porno seeds. karina is very haitian sativa dominate, hazy trip effects, hazy church terpenes, hz. long flowering period. :)

That is a fine point. There may very well be a niche "new york city haze" that only you and a handful of others have access to. My point is that every New Yorker I've talked to who have come into my threads talking about "church, frankies, uptown haze, ny haze, piff" etc. (By the way that number exploded since around '06) claims as well that is a new york only legend and that I don't know what I'm talking about.

The thing is though years ago a friends room mate was dealing with a guy who was moving 50lbs of that cuban haze from Florida to NY and NJ every week. He wasn't the main supplier just one guy out of many. So those cubans are shipping literally hundreds of pounds of haze up the east coast every week.

The vast majority of new yorkers smoking haze are smoking cuban haze and calling it nyc haze. The thing is though pretty much every new yorker thinks its a local only legend. What is more likely? That in new york there are massive grow syndicates operating completely undercover and moving hundreds of pounds a week of haze. Or that the massive haze grows that everyone already knows about in florida is where all that nyc haze is coming from?

Frankly you may very well be right about what you know of NY haze. But if you are then you are the one out of twenty who is right because they all tell me it isn't cuban haze. Its from New york they just don't know what the strain is, or who grows it. All of you New Yorkers can't be getting the "real deal" nyc haze. Some of you have to be smoking cuban haze and calling it nyc haze. The thing is, none of them admit they are the one being fooled.

In my logical mind, they are just kidding themselves. There is hundreds of pounds of haze coming into ny every week but that isn't the new york haze everyone is smoking apparently? Its some massive hidden grow op producing hundreds of pounds per week within new york? That is a fantasy.

and truth be told, I think you are kidding yourself too. You have no good reason to think NYC haze isn't the cuban haze. Or if you do have a good reason it hasn't been made clear to me. Even if there are guys growing "ny haze" in the city what makes you think it isn't bagseed from cuban haze?
motaco post #7685 https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=36181&page=513

and there is reason to suspect that the cuban haze shares haitian sativa genetics.

haiti.gif

i've contacted the proprieter of southern star seeds for info on his haitian sativa. he has responded on other questions i sent him.

edited to add: per returned email he got haitian from a haitian and png (cape tribulation sativa) from an aboriginal. he met these gentlemen in his rum distillery adventures. no in depth strain descriptions. he does look solid from the threads at other forums re his strains.

more stuff on cuban haze if you google "black haze" or "cuban haze" .

When I harvested it I smoked the charas from the scissors and was great. The effect was cerebral and stimulating like I took a red bull! She gives you wings!

Cheers!

Charlie,
What generation of the cross are you working on with this Oaxacan/Punto Rojo? Sounds like you already have plans for release and a name already.

Looks very good, B.T.W.. RandyCalifornia raves about this cross.

ThaiBliss

"We" are playing with F1s and F3s right now.
