Marijuana and cymbalta

My dr wants me to take cymbalta for musculoskeletal pain. Anyone have GOOD information on how these interact?

Cymbalta is an SNRI, I used to take something similar but stronger and had no problems with smoking. Your experience may be different though, you could always ask the dr what he thinks. I don't think anyone will be able to give you a real answer as everyone reacts to things differently. The pills did give me some really odd side effects though.

Thnx oscar yea I pretty much knew the answer to my question. Just wanted to throw it out there in case there was something I didn't know... All those ssri drugs are nutty. I'm not sure I even want to start them.

My whole reason for getting back into marijuana after a few years off it is medicinal for pain. I think my is working better for my pains when I ingest it instead of smoke or vape.

I don't know about any interaction problems, but Cymbalta was major league weird for me. I don't normally dream much, or at least remember them, and that shit was full-on technicolor acid-style fantasmogorica. About 3 pills was all I needed to convince me that it wasn't for me.

You're looking for high CBD cannabis.

The Cannabidiol (CBD) is what will significantly effect your pain levels.

I'm lucky enough to have the "Harlequin" cut that's 8% CBD and 6% THC. I have a birth defect that's quite painful... severely so when I quit using cannabis for a while. The daily use of "Harlequin" for a bit did wonders for my pain. That was just smoking it a few times a day.

I can't wait until I can make Canna Pills from it in a few months. :D

I seriously doubt you'd need any additional Rx if you were taking Canna Pills made from Harlequin. You could make them whatever dosage you needed to stop the pain... and they wouldn't slow you down a bit.

No sleepiness, no confusion or high or stone or anything.... just a better you.

Amazing really...

Keep it Clean! :D

I had a rather seriously unpleasant reaction mixing Cymbalta and cannabis. Extreme confusion, anxiety and agitation.

THC shouldn´t interact but you never know. A friend, and medical user, found the combo quite effective. I´ve used an SSRI for years and have never had a problem.

I think dreaming is good for healing. and as marijuana smokers I feel we are so far in sleep we don't get deep REM or its just lost in memory due to short term memory loss.

A lot of drugs that focus on serotonin and Dopamine raising will cause this. There are a lot of good drugs out there. Don't be afraid to try something for a few weeks.

DO NOT TAKE CYMBALTA!!!!! Please research what the dr.s dont tell you about the terrible side effects and if you want to stop taking it how you could have withdrawal symptoms anywhere from 6mos to 2 years. I have firbro, severe depression, anxiety & other conditions. Being desperate for help I started cymbalta. I have been in a living hell ever since. I cannot go to work, this is making me and my family live in poverty. Only thing that has helped w/ pain and mood has been marijuana.
Please research, and most dr.s do not understand or even know about the side effects cymbalta/lyrica can have.

Funny how one never hears much positive about SSRIs in general- but I have never ever heard anyone say anything other than negative about cymbalta/lyrica. Interesting how big pharma just loves to push the 'off label use' for 'pain mgmt'.
