Cambodianqueen and Primalraindrops hydro

Hello everyone this is my first hydro thread but second grow in hydro, the first was sadly unsuccessful. Primalraindrop and I are doing the flora series drain to waste with a 3x3 table and a 27 gallon reservoir. We have 9 ladies in 5.5 rockwell cubes surrounded with expandable clay rocks to keep from getting algae. We used a 1000 watt Digilux light for the first 3 weeks, we are now into week four and switched to a 1000 watt HPS Hortilux light with a sun system hood. We built a frame the same size as the table but made it come up 4 inches higher. We also found some green fencing in our yard and zip tied/ screwed it onto the frame and table in place of Hortinova. We have a 16 watt active aqua submersive water pump that is hooked up to 3/4 inch pvc with 2 elbow connecters to get the water to pump from the reservoir to the ladies just by using the pump and gravity. Once our ladies get a few inches taller we are going to basically clear cut everything in the 4 inch space between the top of the table and the frame we built because it wont be getting light at that point. will post more pics when that happens.

Its just so simple... plug in the pump let it run for 5 minutes or so. then it sucks it all back up thru the same pipe. Gravity and science. Wonderful.

the 3 on the far left are sensi star
the 1 in the middle far back is strawberry cough
the one in the very middle is kashmir
the one in the front and the one to the right are both lemon kush
and the one in the far rear corner and the one on the far right in the middle are both blue dreams.

We have a variety because we couldnt get enough cuts of one thing at the time. and decided to run with it.

Its crazy that you bring up the 700 ppm. I was just disgussing with cambodian yesterday about how they seemed yellowish. and that they werent as chipper and DEEP green as our soil stuff... anyways we are just following the instructions... they look like they could take more nutrients. anyways more advice? ill post some pics without the hps on

So is there a specific reason why i would have to use the scrogging method? wouldnt i get more buds letting them grow out? the scrogging method seems like it would be for a much smaller run that what i have going on atm.

i am fully aware that i dont have a scrogg set up i was asking what is more beneficial scrogging or letting them grow like i have them? i read about scrogging and it seems to me that you would end up with less buds because the plant isnt stretching itself out. I am still fairly new to growing in general and really appreciate the advice. I'm just not sure why scrogging is better in your opinion.

well currently we lost power in the room it was in.'.. so we had to build a new room and move it all... its been a pain in the ass..... but.... looks like things are gonna be looking good in a few weeks
ill post some pics later on today.

New Room and set up.

New Room and set up.

I have removed the expandable clay rocks to keep a cleaner environment for the roots and allow them to fully dry out in between watering.
