I cut September 15, and I'm sitting here on November 5, temps are still in the 60s, nights just this last week started dropping enough to make my neighbors GDP purple up and we've had zero storms. I shouldve run some Africans this year! I'm calling this the year of perfecft weather for those of us on the Atlantic side.

I always include one sativa, Panama from ACE, in my grow. I know I can take it relatively early and it will be ok. But if I catch the weather I can ride it out and it becomes fantastic. Took her Nov 1 this year after 4 below freezing nights and one minor sleet deal. She had a lot of energy in her and was unaffected but I lost my nerve. Still...probably 50% amber so I am looking forward to it...and the oil :woohoo:

I am thinking next yr put her in an area I can enclose and add a light to if needed...if I weren't so freakin lazy.

I really enjoyed Aces Panama. It was very strong and had a very special flavor.

Where did all the big boys go this year?

I haven't seen Fill, Rootwise, Tom, or any other big garden people throw up their work this year. Is the gypsy thing tripping people out?

This is the kind of question you don't ask. Please, edit your post.

I miss those guys too. TH especially...he was already pretty scarce after Weird drove him insane (thanks, Weird! We really needed that...).

But this thread has had its ups and downs before and plenty of drama...followed by solid knowledge about how to grow large plants outdoors.

Strange days have tracked us down... We can hang together, or we'll hang separately.

Sending good vibes to all big plant folks and other inspirational cannabinoids, including jaykush, Tom Hill, Rootwise, fillthepotmore, sierra organics, Trinity Gold, Veg N Out, manitoid, CanniDo Cowboy, Kangativa, Ganja D, microbeman, milky joe, Butte.

Malawi rocks. What I had was not pure and probably more like 75%. The breeder selected a Malawi leaning female to run from some beans he made. Some of my most favorite smoke ever. Clean, clear hightype.

Helping an old buddy harvest some White Jones outdoors tomorrow. Beautiful, one super white dominant and two definitely leaning towards True's colorful CJ. I actually had to hear the statement "what, you don't want to boil the roots and hang it whole?" Guy was shocked when I said no.

It's been a return of every myth I've heard with this guy. Boil the roots, hang it upside down so the resin drips to the tips, if seeds sink in water they're female, if you plant a seed and the taproot never bends it'll be female. I've been having a laugh but it's exhausting.

grow-lore lol

I have a old handmade/hand written book from the late 60's , it is written by a few back to landers who left the cities and went north up the coast ect...The book has a small section on how to grow 'homegrown' and says to harvest, hang, and spray daily with vodka or whisky from a spray bottle to 'enhance' the high..heheh funny stuff

Friends and I did a little growing in the late 70's while in high school and yeah heard about the boiling roots thing like it was gospel. My best friend actually grew some very good stuff one year in a mini greenhouse in his backyard. Thing is he fed the plants water laced with blue dye toward the end and called it Connecticut Blue. I was in jail at the time and never got to smoke any and probably a good thing. Boy we were stupid back then...lol.

A friend once told me to run 25% of your garden with an earlier finisher(s) just in case a horrible weather year, 50% that would finish when the window normally closes on average and 25% that would finish in a better than average weather year.

My little 12 plant outdoor grow produced much more oil than the ounce required for entry, so you can only imagine what the big guys in NorCal are producing. I would imagine 10's of elbows gets produced on some farms.

As far as being rich, I have smoke for another year for my family and I. My wife, daughter and I all have our health, so yea, you could say I am the richest man in the world. Hope your life is richer than your wallet, cause that's what it all comes down to in the end.

You are much richer.....

Who truly cares about "bragging rights"? You're bragging for those Judges, not for me or your friends on IC. You know you.

We don't need to judge anyone because we're all having fun and lovin' life.
