Those are the best I've tried too. They can hold up to about 5 grams each. They stay closed if you accidently drop one, which has saved me a couple times.

Papulz - Not sure why you would say that? Like hammalamma said, what did you log in the chemical section? Everything that is organic seems to get an A or B rating. Your link seems to prove these containers are great for cannabis oil, not the other way around. Am I missing something?

The problem auguring the answer is the entourage of terpenes involved. Some so aggressive that they will strip paint.

Here is a link that list rubber chemical compatability, that shows for instance that Pinene, one of the major monoterpenes present, isn't compatible with silicone rubber. I'm pretty sure many of the others aren't either.

The problems go up with concentration and temperature, and the terpenes present are at relatively low concentration, so I have to say I'm not qualified to make that call.

Thanks Graywolf.......I am a little worried now. I have over a years worth of oil I made from this crop and it's all sitting in these containers in the freezer. I hope it's all good.

I hate the glass containers, I can never retrieve all my oil out of them. Unless I do a wash to the dish, or soak it in olive oil and make brownies from it.

Would parchment paper be an appropriate solution to long-term storage? I completely agree with you OrganicBuds, glass is too frustrating and wasteful. There must be a better way....

What about that regular hard plastic that grams of bho come in? are they better or worse than silicone? Is that polypropylene ?

Plastic to me is worse. Not only that, but you can't scrape all the material out of plastic containers. Parchment paper would be ok for long term use, as long as it doesn't get much abuse. Once you start folding and unfolding parchment paper you get chunks of wax in your oil.

AlterEgo860 - When using the winterization method, you take your bho and dissolve it in Ethel alcohol. Once dissolved in the alcohol you can store it that way before processing everything.
