If man evolved from apes why do we still have apes?
-Because in different environments different characteristics were better, the modern apes aren't the same as the older apes we evolved from, they're our evolutionary "cousins" divergently evolved from the older apes.
Why do they call it a TV set when you only get one?
-Originally because it's a set of components that produce a device capable of displaying TV broadcasts and the name stuck
Similarly the word "car" is from "Motor Car" which itself is short for "Motorised Carriage"
What should you do if you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?
-Not interact with either, they're best off not being interfered with.
Besides often endangered animals depend on eating other endangered animals and plants, similarly the animals can help their food in strange ways. It's important to protect the ecosystem not just 1 or 2 species.

-They all have the the same root word (the latin "terrere") So that's why they're similar despite their diverging uses

-It's derived from a series of old english words all basically meaning "one left over". Eleven means basically "Ten and one left over".

-They don't laugh it's just how they communicate, through chattering and whining , they're more likely to call out loudly when in physical peril.

-Poor planing, but also because thats increasingly the standard for ATM keyboards of any kind, regardless of if they're placed for car access.

Dark matter can't be found but is more tangible than I thought. It causes gravitational lensing (bending of light) among galaxy observations. Maybe much of it is just unseen matter like stray planets, debris, gas clouds and black holes... 1 of the biggest mysteries out there.

Almost same. We used to say when briefing the weather to pilots, especially asshole fighter jocks, "If you can't impress them with the facts, blind them with the bullshit."
Or, a little shorter, more succinct, "If the facts won't do, baffle with the bullshit."
One of my stoned thoughts recently was how languages were formed or how we have words for things and how did those words just come about? like for example who decided to name a tree, a tree? Mind boggling.
