Oh man, big, fat blunts and lobstah! Wish I was there!

Oddly enough, I don't like either of those things. But weed - I like weed :D

Word is it will be up for vote in 2016. I have to think with this victory that it might make next years ballot.

I watched a political commentary about this today.

Fatcat #1 - I don't see what this changes. You still cant buy or sell it - so unless you just find it laying on the ground...

Me (in my head) - A med grower could give you some.

Moot point. Its been illegal for 70+ yrs and that hasn't stopped a thing, anything, at all.

Fatcat #2 - Ive never smoked pot, but I don't see how its any different from alcohol - they both impair you.

Me - If you did smoke, you'd see how different they are - and you'd think alcohol was worse.

Ive never heard of some guy getting stoned to the bone and then beating his wife and kids because they ate all the rice crispy squares.

Both fatcats said they think it will be legal after the 2016 referendum. Apparently there will be a push to legalize in the next (possibly) 2 largest cities 1st (Lewiston and maybe Bangor) - before going to a statewide vote. I expect it to pass in Lewiston easily, very easily.

I hope you're right. The more legal states, the more pressure there is for it to go national.

Petition writers everywhere would do well to copy Colorado's A64. It's got something for everybody, other than hardliners whose position is undercut by the promise of tax revenue. It's far from perfect, but it's a winner.

The personal growing provisions are very, very important- witness the bullshit in Washington. Do what you can to see to it that they're included in any initiative.

I know, fucked up shit right there. My guess theres a dirty trail of back scratching and favors that leads back to DC. Maybe because we're the easternmost state?
