Ignore the FUD. If you google vaccinations, you wont get anything from a reputable source, telling you not to vaccinate. It's all new age woo like Natural news. They don't want you to get jabbed, but they will sell you colloidal silver and "magic" water which doesn't even contain one molecule of whatever it is supposed to have in it......

Not true at all. Here is some info from the cdc.

http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/Concerns/Index.html

Vaccines are held to the highest standard of safety. The United States currently has the safest, most effective vaccine supply in history. Years of testing are required by law before a vaccine can be licensed. Once in use, vaccines are continually monitored for safety and effectiveness. However, like any medication,

vaccines can cause side effects.

oderate Problems (Uncommon)Seizure (jerking or staring) (about 1 child out of 14,000)Non-stop crying, for 3 hours or more (up to about 1 child out of 1,000)High fever, 105 degrees Fahrenheit or higher (about 1 child out of 16,000)Severe Problems (Very Rare)Serious allergic reaction (less than 1 out of a million doses) Several other severe problems have been reported after DTaP vaccine. These include:Long-term seizures, coma, or lowered consciousnessPermanent brain damage.

So 1 In 14, 000 kids who get the dtap shot will have seizuresfrom it. There are 27, 550 cases of pertussis per year with a 0.5% mortality rate.

Chance of catching pertussis .0069
Chance of dying from pertussis .0000348
Chance of zsevere side effects like seizure or 105 fever .00007
Chance of death from vaccine .000001

One brand of inactivated flu vaccine, called Afluria,*should not be given*to children 8 years of age or younger, except in special circumstances. A related vaccine was associated with fevers and fever-related seizures in young children in Australia. Your doctor can give you more information.

There is also a small risk of intussusception from rotavirus vaccination, usually within a week after the 1st*or 2nd*vaccine dose. This additional risk is estimated to range from about 1 in 20,000 US infants to 1 in 100,000 US infants who get rotavirus vaccine. Your doctor can give you more information.

Many medications have side effects.. The numbers regarding bad reactions, well that happens with all sorts of things, and compared with the numbers getting vaccination, its a drop in the ocean. sorry to be cold about it, but a tiny fraction of a percentage point having bad reactions and maybe suffering permanent damage is price worth paying for the countless other people who will not get the diseases that routinely killed us before 5 years old within the last century. Sucks to be that person, but thems the breaks. The needs of the many and all that....
Regarding your CDC link, they aren't telling people not to vaccinate are they. They are giving people information about real issues, not made up/hyped bullshit, and letting them make an informed choice. That isn't what the magic healing crystal/homeopathy/pyramid power numpties do. they lie, exaggerate and appeal to emotion.

Nobody ever claimed vaccines were perfect, and nobody, certainly not me, ever claimed that they don't have potential side effects.

Jenny Mcarthy claims to have cured her sons autism with herbs.. Well holy, fuck ,,patent that shit Jen....or maybe he wasn't autistic in the 1st place, or maybe he is and you're still full of shit Jen.... either way, Vaccines do not cause autism.

There will always be a risk of side effects with any medical intervention , why should vaccine be any different.

There is always a price to pay , and the benefits greatly outweigh the risk in this case.

If you have a problem using vaccines , you will find massive doses of antibiotics to be more invasive and dangerous , or would you let nature take its course ?

There are stronger causal links between autism and the reduction in breast feeding , than vaccine useage.

But its easier to blame vaccines than open that can of worms.

fucking worthless for this years flu

In practice , even last years vaccine offers similar benefits to the latest one , and more effective than waiting for a specific one.

All true. That is my point. The chance of getting these vaccine preventable disease is extremely small, in fact about as small as the serious side effects. This is because most are vaccinated. So I'm saying why not take the passive risk? Over the active risk?

Hey doc won't giving my baby like 5 vaccines at once cause problems. Answer " ofcourse not babys are super tough and can handle it no problem"

Hey doc why do I need a vaccine? Answer " babys don't have a strong enough immune system and they can't deal with the illness"

So which is it?

All true except fot the "bennifits greatly outweigh the risk " part. This was true in the 1920's but not so much with todays numbers.

Yes there is a price to pay that's my point. I don't want my kid to be the price.

Vaccines are proactive while antibiotics are reactive. I would use antibiotics and I would use vaccines it just depends on timing and the disease in question.

Also there is more research linking ultrasounds to autism tjan vaccines. I'm not saying vaccines cause autism or all are bad. I'm saying the risk bennifit is soo close that it could be seen as a smart choice to delay vaccines untill the child is more developed.

...they knew the vaccines were tainted.
someone entrusted with your health and well being only gets one shot (pardon) like that, forever untrustworthy now.

if someone stole your harvest, would you invite them over for dinner?

betrayal has a way of changing perceptions.

And as more and more people choose the "Passive risk", less people are vaccinated, so the chances of getting the disease increases. For proof, just check out all the measles outbreaks in the UK since so many people got taken in by Andrew Wakefield's asshattery. TB, virtually unheard of in the UK population for decades, is now on the increase amongst immigrant communities from places where vaccines are less common, result being we now have TB wards in hospitals again.

Go look at what the cdc says about the TB vaccine. They say it isn't used at all in the us and children should never recieve it unless they are living with someone who has TB.

Here in the Uk it is still given to all kids at about 11/12 years old, umless they already have the antibodies.
I remember waiting for mine, because that little scar on the arm was like a symbol of "Being a big boy now". Imagine my disappointment when I didn't scar. So what does Harry do, he burns his arm with a ciggie to simulate the TB scar.

Ok but WHY? Don't they give to people in the us? Aaah the cdc says its because the chance of getting TB is soo low. So they seem to be taking the same position as me. Risk from vax is greater than risk from disease. So what does that say about your comment that not vaxing will allow these rare diseases to reammerge? I'm not saying your wrong about that just asking why not worry about TB coming back? Or why still give the polio vax if its rates of infection are even lower than TB?

There's some antibiotic resistant strains of TB coming out of the Russian prison system, and also resistant strains coming out of Mexico where anybody can buy antibiotics over the counter. It's bad bad news.

Right so why don't we give people in the US a TB vaccine?

http://www.rferl.org/content/syria-polio-outbreak-un/25151517.html

October 29, 2013

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed 10 cases of polio in Syria -- the first outbreak of the disease in the country in 14 years.

The UN agency said on October 29 that another 12 cases showing symptoms of paralytic polio -- the most serious form of the disease -- are being investigated.

Most victims are under 2 years old.

The outbreak centers on the northeastern province of Deir al-Zor, but a WHO spokesman, Oliver Rosenbauer, said the "risk is high" of the disease spreading across the region.

Before Syria's civil war began in 2011, triggering a humanitarian crisis, most children were vaccinated against polio.

The highly contagious disease is often spread by consuming food or liquid contaminated with feces.

There is no known cure for polio, which remains endemic in Nigeria, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

Don't take ANY vaccines - even tetanus. Of course, when you refuse a vaccine sometime soon, you may be carted off to a FEMA camp.

Worst. Advice. Ever.

I honestly hope your child doesn't come into contact with any of the easily preventable diseases that vaccines have made almost non-existant. Unfortunately that's getting less and less likely as more fear-mongering conspiracy addicts scare people away from one of the greatest advancements against disease ever made. Many of these same 'vaccines are a FEMA plot to take away your guns' types are only here due to the effectiveness of vaccines and public health...

I guess when a scientific advance works so well, it becomes an easy target for the generation that benefitted so much to claim it was never a problem to begin with, and in fact science (or medicine/doctors/etc.) IS the problem.
