For now im going to fill a pool with Air pots & smart pots using CC and VEG the moms in a pool using floods... lol

Most likely using the 300W led....

This should be up and running tomorrow...
Got some testing to do and the seeds are a day way from ready for pots...
Air pots should be here tomorrow and i will be ready for them...

Now all I need are some plants to put in this and A Vegging we shall go...

Going to pull out the 300 LED and a few 65w CfLs...





Looks like another inch of turface will
get me to the right flooding level.

Should only take a few days to get the seeds ready and I have started charging the pool water with Jacks and such...

ok I just ran/skimmed through the thread and since I didn't see it or notice it im gonna ask:

which one of you crazy fuckers is gonna do a ScrOG in one of these things? seems like the right thing to do I think.

ofcourse it would take forever to fill a screen the size/circumference of the pool being that the diameter would have to be a good 6" wider than the pool itself.

lmao, I think I would shit myself if I ever saw something like that, now THAT would be epic!

I'm running 2 pools.
I'm setting pool 1 up for a SCROG option.
Still on the fence, though.
We will see how the 300 w LED does with veg.


Pool 2 will be a Vert for sure.

...i dig what you're doing man and i'm really looking forward to watching the show but shit bro, that looks labor intensive!

i started out running high-density micro-SOG's and after a few years i got really tired of all the work it took to care for over 50 plantlets.

i'm a lazy phuck by nature so i've gravitated to simple meaning i run 8 plants in 6liter coco hempy 'buckets' around a single barebulb 600, i'd love to add another 600 but i rent and the wiring in this house won't take the load.

anyway, i thought i'd chime in because first, my 'buckets' are actually trashcans and you mentioned trashcans, lol, plus, like you i also have incorporated Marlo's W.o.W tech into my gro, thanks Marlo.

...i'm also a Jack's Pro Hydro user so i wanted to mention that similarity too.

...here's a couple pics of a re-veg where you can see the trashcan 'bucket' and the 'runoff tray' that i use, both from the dollar store btw, lol.

...and here's a shot inside the budding chamber which is a 4.5 x 4.5 x 7 closet i converted into my little secret garden.

btw, that pic you posted above with the bathtub looks like a DIY version of aquaponics, ...if you have access and knowledge on how to use torrents you can go to Piratebay and download some VERY cool videos on 'Aquaponics', 'Murray Hallam' and 'permaculture', ...i think it's on the video 'Urban Permaculture' where one of the case studies is of a family that converted a large inground pool into a fishpond/garden that i think you will find VERY cool.

WELl,here it is ladies and gentlemen,the first ever kiddie pool,airlift,automated ebb and flow system.

its so funny you talk about aquaponics,Ive JUST finished the webinar course at BEn and GLEN's aquaqzen garden show,online.(a MUST FOR AUAPONIC ENTHUSIASTS!).


basically i thought aquaponics doesnt need the fish all the fish do is give the plant nutes,so if you put the food there all should be good!

well this is what i came up with,automated ebb and flow,using the SIPHON filter,and and Airlift pump to deliver the nutes to the top of the bed for flooding,its a 4 watt pump,

no moving parts,so no sucking of gravel or anything into the filter,there is no PUMP!,no problem if electricity cuts out,the small aquarium pump can be powered by 2 AA batteries!

still got one more to build ,im running two of them this thing is AWESOME when you see it working!,

iVE got some ideas running wild for this airlift pump idea and vert setups!

did you know that you can move water up to 25feet with air!!!!

if i hadnt built my rdwc tub,i wold be running three of these,all using one airpump!,NO HEAT!!,maybe after the rdwc pool becomes my momma tub!

before finally deciding to build the SIPHON BEDS , the plan was roll with the bonzo bucket EBB AND FLOW ATTATCHMENT under the pool,and it worked,well,but....at first when i switched the pump on the pool was flooding more than draining so i new my water intake had to be turned down a bit, that,or more drainage,so the drainage was increases on the side and it worked..then when it finally came time to test the FLOOD AND DRAIN TIMES,i wanted something that was going to drain fast,and hence.....the siphon beds,,they drain twice as fast as the FULL,when you get the siphon working well!

its realy like watching a bath get sucked down quickly!

heres some pics of the FIRST ebb and flow attempt mentioned above that i scrapped,dont be fooled it works great!!

this new setup allows me to keep my plant numbers low as well as very little maintenance..blame it on the DURBAN!,

new thread starting this week,no more of my bullshit here,lol!

btw, this is a bit off topic but if you're interested in aquaponics and the like then you should dig this too but have you ever heard of a trompe? ...or a pulser pump?

both use falling water as a power supply and while it is very hard to find good info on either topic it is well worth the read when you do.

here is a diagram of the concept and as i said, both the trompe and the pulser pump function in much the same way (in the diagram the blow off pipe is the pulser pump of sorts, in this configuration it is meant as a safety valve but this is basically how a pulser pump works) with the difference being that the pulser pump uses air to move water and the trompe stores and isothermically compresses that air for use as a power supply, ...this is still how all equipment and power is generated in the mining industry btw, ...you can't burn fuel a thousand feet underground.

...if you're interested the best place to look would be permaculture websites, aquaponics websites, survivalist websites, shit like that and the reason it's so hard to find is because this technology has been actively suppressed by big oil since the 1920's, do some digging and i think you'll really enjoy what you learn.

like 2-3" sections up the pipe (Pulses) right ?
Takes a air pump though,right ?
