they should work fine in either direction G,be aware a lot of black dust is going to blow out at first though, sometimes better to take the pre filter off let it run someplace it can make a mess first, then install it.

dan,it only takes like 15 photons to initiate the photosynthetic response, and red light is the worst for light contamination during flower.

Morning you all suk !!

I agree they work both ways but there design to have the air pulled through them . If you use it to blow through the pre filter is not needed.. I thought it was more efficient to pull the air through as well..

Here is a thread wit ha few other posts on the subject

The only color I'm aware of that is OK is green but if you had the room light up in green you would probably have issues.

orange is just yellow and red mixed right?....at least from color wheel theory...

having a mildly productive day,did laundry, got the new fan and filter combo ready to be mounted tonight, got the new bulbs in the t5 rack and got that re-hung,about to clean a stack of pots and clean the house up,should be able to square the rest of the weekly chores away tomorrow so i can take off on thursday and go camping..knee is still a bit painful but getting better every day so still taking it pretty easy...want to be back in form for next week when i hopefully go for the pass.

You don't like guns do ya? :shooty:
Yup I had a cdsd herm right next to the same heater.
Dan what has changed in your set up besides the shape? Reflectix? Could be the lights.

I was thinkin maybe the added reflection from the reflectx and the placement of your romantic glowing lights could be causing your problem with the gg like unc and jw said.

Dan, I cant really speak to the GWS cause it was one of my first runs. Then again some other strains I grew next to them were very good. Id say I wouldnt recommend Greenhouse seeds current (or even recent) GWS offering. But I have heard it used to be a lot better. I actually grabbed the seeds cause someone I knew grew it and I liked it. I ran into him later and asked him what his was an he said an old clone from older seed stock.
And id bet mr nice's version is prolly much different and better.

Positive Unc ..... its sealed up tighter than yer ass at a gay parade !!!!

but i did find that about a week into 12/12 that i had hit a couple of the tabs on the timer & i had a 1 1/2 hr interval about midway of the off cycle that my lights were on for that 1 1/2 hrs .

could that have set them back a week ????

Imo absolutely. From time to time I stand in my room during lights off and look for any form of light, little or not.
I missed a tiny red light(smaller than your heater) on a power strip once and the 2 plants in front of it hermed out.

You should make sure to keep a close eye on them for the next 14 days. If theyre gonna grow any balls itll be within then.:tiphat:

And I think G and s4 are absolutely right. Your added reflext is prolly why its causing problems now, and didnt b4.

Unc or anyone else that may know. I grabbed a active air 13x12 filter today from the local hydro store. The guy tells me they work better after the fan. I know the fans make better pushers then pullers but is pushing through the filter how they work best? The prefilter is on the outside so that would suggest to pull through the filter rather then push :dunno:

Ive been told by 2 seperate people that I respect that the absolute ideal set up is: air filter----> lights----> inline fan--->
Actually no air filter would be more effiecient, but thats a bad idea for most. But like the guys said, I think the difference isnt much if the scrubber is at the end or beginning

I have a bottle of black fingernail polish for such occasions.

Great tip!!:tiphat:
Im always checkin to make sure my electrical tape isnt peeling off.

I think the hydro guy is right , well kinda lol. It will cause a bit of restriction and with inline fans like we use the make better pushers then pullers so they would naturaly move more air if the filter was last. I said I was gonna test this with my flow meter a few weeks ago. Cant get a true test cause of the 2 different style filters but it will tell what I want to know. I think lol
