Coco newbie questions.

So I just picked up Canna A&B, Boost, and PK. I'll be adding House and Gardens roots ex, Great White powder and Florolicious Plus also. I'm wondering if I should add anything else like Cannazym through out the feeding and maybe AN Overdrive towards the end. Also I won't be using Cannas coco but Bonticares loose coco. Will I be bumping in to any problems since I'm not using cannas coco with their base and additives?
Thanks Hank

No problems. Maybe first few days/feeds while you rinse and charge coco. I'd recommend liquid budswell over flouro + though. If using great white I'd get an irganic nitrogen source for veg. Fish product or something.

I was just thinking of just soaking the coco in ph water with about 300 ppm worth of cal mag too. The great white is just for beneficial bacteria. Also does drip clean hurt or kill the bacteria or just help with build up in your lines and res?

I don't use drip clean. The bacteria can strip away nutrients from the plants while its getting established. So provide it with a food source.

Ive used canna coco nutes before w/o cal mag and loved it. Id say for the most part that you can cut out the cal mag since you are using coco specific nutes. I find that cannazym is great product and def ran it with the a/b when I was using canna nutes. I would still be using canna nutes if it didnt put a huge hole in my pocket. I also loved the rhizo. and added it during transplants and a little during flower as well. really makes them take off and relieves a crazy amount of stress, guess thats why the smallest bottle costs me around 30 bucks. I would rinse the coco out with phed soulution w/o cal-mag. its worked for me when i used coco specific nutes. I currently use drip clean and cant tell you if its going to kill beneficial bacteria but i know that my friend uses it with nematodes in his water as is very pleased. I dont uses any beneficials in my line up as I add hydrogen peroxide into my solution. I only use rhizo which is made from marine algae and only use it on transplants and cuttings throughtout my cycles. I always liked sticking with a companys products rather than throwing a bunch of other companys products together in a mix but others do as you have and take a mix of nutes from different companies with great results. Personally I take out the h&g roots excel and use rhizo but if you already bought the roots excel then use it its great. Im just picky and like to stick to products from the same companies and try to to get to crazy. I love GH and use botanicares supplements such as there silica blast since there a reasonable price 25-30 bucks for a gallon of base nutes !!!!! love it and cant beat it

I think I'm just going to do the whole Canna line. I'll pick up some of their coco but I'm still wondering if I can use the other stuff without any issues? Thanks

My suggestion is hank that you try the whole canna line this round because its relibale and fairly simple. You dont need to buy cannas coco !!! its overpriced, im not saying its not good just overpriced. Theres plenty of other cocos out there that are a little less that produce great results just always rinse ! Also you could try your line up on one or two plants with the great white etc.. and see how it works and if you like it then you can stick with using the great white etc. instead of the canna line. Canna is very similar to h&g and you can use the roots excel with the canna line up for sure. happy growings hank holler if you need anything ill get my journal up soon enough i keep putting it off.

That's what I was thinking. I'm going to use the canna line with that bag of Bonticare. I'll let you know how it's going here. I read that Bonticare is ok to use straight out of the bag. If I go about pretreating it how would I? Pillow case and a hose?

Hank i found out the tough way that even when companies say its all set to go and pre rinsed theres bound to be some bags that dont get rinsed perfectly. Some bags come out hot meaning theres alot of salt buildups etc so i always play it safe. I fill up my pots and run my phed water through the top and let it drain through into a bucket or container. then just get rid of the waste water. rinse with phed nute solution and your set.

Funny, Canna coco is the cheapest around me at $19 a bag.

Definitely use the zyme as it contains 50% of the P that the A&B does. Without it you will be lacking the proper ratio of P.

:yeahthats Its got a K value also . its more of a PK bud builder than it is enzymes to eat roots . most people don't realize that .

Id go with Cannas Coco but its a long drive and runs about $50 a bag if i want it shipped compared to Bonticare at $18 and only a few miles away... Ill make the switch if I run into any major issues. Thanks everyone
