squirmy wormy bin help

Hello!
I started my first worm bin today and I think I may have messed up already.... I found the perfect plastic bin it was 2x5 8 inches deep. I tore up some cardboard (did not shred) ad layered it on the bottom to help retain moisture.then put some organic spent mushroom compost then a layer of shredded newspaper then on top of that I mixed composted manure and peat. This is where I think I fucked up will the composted manure bake them???? Then input some pureed pumpkin and egg shells in the corner drilled holes all over..did i fuck up or not is it fixable please help....thanks!!"""

are there signs of a problem? the worms will probably move to wherever is most comfortable and begin eating/reproducing. if you are using pre-composted material, it shouldn't get too hot as far as temperature goes. the pH of your layering might be a bit off but that should even out naturally. i only give my worms kitchen scraps mixed with composted or pre-composted yard waste and they do just fine.

There's no problem I just made it yesterday ad they're still squirming. It was bagged organic compost half composted steer manure half composted clippings (so the bag said...) was just reading thamanure will kill them off guess I misreadamd only fresh manure will do this. Can I add some dolomite lime for Ph a Ph buffer ad mix it in and on the note could I add some azomite for trace materials or is this frowned upon by the worm royalty??

I also saw a few little red millipedes crawling in there this morning guessing any bug shit is welcome. Glad that the environment is to their liking maybe the worms concur! !!
