Snype's Organic F13 (F2) Test Grow For Green Path Seeds!

This is the beginning of my test grow for Green Path Seeds. I always wanted to run F13 but wasnt planning on running them for 3 years when Im only growing for my head. But this oppurtunity came and i had to try it out.

I know strains like this can be very difficult because it seems certain strains tend to want to be grown organically. For this reason, i will be starting my first organic grow. I will be popping 25 seeds today in hopes of a healthy 9 females.

Soil receipe and details to follow shortly...

Nice one Snype. I'll tag along. Go light on the nutes...half dose maximum.

Top them.

These seeds aren't going to be sold I assume...? That'd be a bit of a FU to DJ.

No nutes here for this one. Just adding water the whole time after I make my soil and let it rest for a few weeks. First organic crop and I got F13 to start it. Pretty exciting also knowing these are F2's which should mean more phenos popping up and resessive traits coming out. I should be able to find a keeper I hope!

Make it a light soil mix...very light. Make sure it's had a good while to compost/aerate.

F13 hates too much N.

Perlite, peat and ewc is probably almost enough for it.

Well, I was going to use this mix from the organics for beginners thread:
"6 parts Pro Mix BX or HP / Sunshine Mix (any flavor from #1 up) / Fox Farm Ocean Forest or Light Warrior
2 parts perlite
2 parts earthworm castings
Powdered (NOT PELLETED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix.
If you use a 3 qt. saucepan as “parts” in the amounts given above, it equals about 1 cu. ft. of soiless mix and you can just dump in a cup of powdered dolomite lime. The dolomite lime is for Ca. and Mg. not just to adjust the PH of the soil.

Now for the plants organic food source

Choose one of these organic plant food recipes to add to LC's Soiless Mix.

RECIPE #1

If you want to use organic nutrients like Blood meal, Bone meal and Kelp meal...

1 tablespoon Blood meal per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
2 tablespoons Bone meal per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
1-tablespoon kelp meal per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil mix
or Maxicrop 1-0-4 powdered kelp extract as directed
(OPTIONAL) 1 tablespoon per gallon or 1/2 cup per cubic foot of Jersey Greensand to supplement the K (potasium) in the Kelp Meal and seaweed extract.

Mix all the dry nutrients into the soiless mix well and wet it, but don't soak it. Use Liquid Karma and water @ 1 tbs./gal. Stir and mix it a few times a week for a week or two so the bacteria can get oxygen and break down the nutrients and make it available. And don't let the mix dry out, keep it moist and add water as needed. It'll also have time to get the humic acids in the Liquid Karma going and the dolomite lime will be better able to adjust the pH of a peat based mixture too.

With this recipe, all you need to do is add plain water until harvest."

That is the mix that i will use in flower. If you think thats a problem, I would love to hear more.

I started with that mix a few years ago, This is what I am currently using.

2 tbs/g Dolomite Lime
2 tbs/g Bone Meal
2tbs/g glacial rock dust
1 tbs/g Blood Meal
1 tbs/g Kelp Meal
1 tbs/g azomite
1 tbs/g soft rock phosphate
1 tbs/g greensand
1 tbs/g crab meal
1 tbs/g neem meal
1 tbs/g diatomacious earth
1/2 tbs/g humic acid

Then I just water with plain water and EWC/Kelp teas until harvest.

I would go:

1/3 ewc
1/3 perlite
1/3 peat

Then I would put this amount per litre of soil:

1/2 tsp dolomite
1/2 blood fish and bone
1/2 tsp bone
1tsp kelp/seaweed meal

Water only whole cycle.

Mix and let sit for a month in a warm place.

I forgot 1/2 tsp neem meal per litre. This is a good source of N and bug repellant.

Personally I would veg them in an even lighter soil and monitor them for leaf clawing...if ok then flower them out in the recipe above.

Here is my soil mix:

6 Cubic Feet Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil
2 Cubic Feet Perlite
2 Cubic Feet Earth Worm Castings
6 Cups Powdered Dolomite Lime
5 Cups Blood Meal
10 Cups Bone Meal
5 Cups Kelp Meal or Maxicrop 1-0-4 Powdered Kelp Extract as directed

If anyone sees a problem with this formula for 4 week old seedlings, please let me know.

u need a extra source of trace minerals in there....
consider... Azomite, or glacial rock dust...
also neem meal and crab meal for the big time bennies....
also another aeration into the medium is good....perlite tends to float away....
but there are other alternatives that will provide just as much air retention...but stay in place....
consider.... pumice rock, OR Napa Floor Dry....

Snype,

thanks again brother! I'm sure there's more then enough there to find something you like..

I am playing around with organic coco right now, so I won't spoil your fun venture of messing around with organic.. if anything, for the best results, just make sure they go organic into flower..

Have fun, I'll be around!!

Well I've avoided this F13 thread for long enough. There has been some changes and I'm going to stay in FFOF Soil instead of the soil that I tried to make in the freezing cold. I started a small test batch with limited seedlings and then I will pop more seed. I germinated some seed on January 17:

The seed sprouted within 48 hours and were planted into a mix of Fox Farm Light Warrior, Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Perlite. These pictures were taken last night (February 6):

Just as I thought the seedlings are giving me a few minor problems. I expect this with anything Blueberry related. That's why I wanted to go all organic but I'm still interested to see how they do with my style.
