A week old seedling is living off its' cotyledons. I don't think it can have lockout due to cold root zone temps.

I doubt it is a deficiency that young. Probably normal. Stems can be red, purple, green and all shades in between and be perfectly healthy.

John innes no.1 is terrible shit. I'd use something else. They won't be cold at 22c unless they're going colder in the night.
What's a 5g space bucket?

What is the seedling looking like now? Did it grow a set of leaves? Did it get taller?

It has been a week... 7 days since you asked the question. That is a good amount of time in seedling time to see some changes.

What is it looking like?

I don't know if it is actually possible and I said I didn't think it could be phosphorus lockout because seedlings live off their cotyledons but in the interest of knowledge I have to point out that on page 7 of the infirmary link by stitch there is a picture of a seedling with phosphorus lockout due to cold temps.

So I guess you need to make it warmer.
