Americans: you messed w/ this Midnight Moon Moonshine?

It's all the rage where I live. People swear it's awesome.

The advertising got me. Cool bottle heh.

Any good?

I had the apple pie one last weekend. 70 proof but it was good straight. I only bought it cause it was on sale at my liquor store.

The Apple Pie is legit!! Not actual moonshine mind ya , but good anyway. The others (cherry blueberry, etc) are vomit inducing. In my professional opinion lol. They taste nothing like their names. The apple pie is the only good one outta the whole lot.

I've tried the apple pie.

Had real moonshine the other day and it made me sick to my stomach. Too strong for this city slicker.

You sip out of a quart jars of real 'shine you'll think your striping the enamel off your teeth. One other thing when did shine get color? It ain't called white dog for no reason. Wait a minute the trash is a wine cooler. Don't

My dad had a (much younger) Czech GF, and when she came to visit. she brought a bottle of her Grandfathers homemade Slivovic. Talk about fire water. My Granny could have used it to clean the oven.
Her grannies pickled Herring was awesome too.
My uncle ended up drinking the slivovic one night. He fell asleep sat 5 feet way from the bonfire in his garden , and when he woke up, the soles of his shoes were a sticky pool on the floor in front of him.

Been seeing quite a bit of real moonshine lately, not the liquor store stuff. My friends take it and turn it into stuff like apple pie moonshine, peach cobbler moonshine, etc. None of those are that hard to make, they taste great and oh man do they get you hammered. Sooooo fuckin good!

Also it's all clear none of it has color.

Legalizing it and the eventual branding/marketing/advertising has really taken the magic out of "moonshine" for me.

The "real" moonshine I have had has not tasted pleasant & was searingly potent. The extent of the packaging was a label-less plastic jug and a mason jar. A could only manage a sip and I only managed that because I was handed the open jug/bottle and didnt want to be rude.

Make you think of the eventual marketing/branding and eventual commodification of mj when it become legal.

I am in art & design so I do like good packaging and advertising. Some of the "moonshine" that is sold is cool in that regard.

Fire water is one way to put it!

When I was a kid, I was able to see my grandfathers still, rusted to the ground. It's also the reason my mom couldn't get into canada for 10 years.

get the clear one on the left it is pretty decent, triple distilled, smooth, and no astringent taste of sugar whiskey. then you can make the others with it.

Cool jars. I still have a few old batches of green dragon in mason jars like that. I'd probably try this if I saw it for sale.

I tried the real thing a few times when I lived in Geogia. Not the best taste, but it got the job done. :) Honestly, I'd rather spend a little more to get something smoother and better tasting.
