HELP WITH THE RECIPE !! 6/9

B

bigbufu

Hello everyone I was hoping someone here on ic mag could answer my question, as all you vets out there, are surely to know the answer. Im about to hit day 15 tomorrow and im following rez dogs recipe. When I usually mix up the 6/9 with ro water im hitting around 815ppms. On day 15 rez' says to add 1tsp of koolbloom powder per gallon of water. I did this and my ppms shot up to 1900 ppms +. I felt a little sketch watering my ladies with this water so I thought Id throw up a post and see what others have to say.

THANKS EVERYONE !!

1tsp is insane. The directions are for 1/4tsp. Res gets it done on perfectly healthy plants and says hes noticed a 15% increase, but he changed several things over that span...
I recommend not even doing the blasts, but if you do I would do 1/4tsp at first and see how they respond, then maybe think about 1/2.

I usually go for around 550-600 ppms with the 6/9 recipe for veg to early flower. I use another recipe for mid- late flower, but I don't go over 750 - 800 ppms even in late bloom. 1800 is just asking for trouble. Remember in coco you are feeding them daily so they really don't need or imo want that much.

if you are going to use the kb, deff go light, 1tsp/gal would almost surely fry your plants. with 6/9+1/4tsp of kb should be around 1.2ec if it's higher, dilute until it is.... I've had the best results@ lower ppms..... and no additives. good luck!

Ec should vary with wattage. One mans perfect ec is another mans deficiency. I have 0.2 coming from tap and I need to add a bare minimum of 1.2 at 6/9 to prevent deficiencies in my sativas. That's only on a 600w with blumats on constant feed. Anyways, don't go by tablespoon, too inaccurate. Add 1.25g per gallon and you'll be happy. That doesn't take me over 1.6, I think it gives me 1.5. Can't remember. If you're new to 6/9 then don't add anything else. Do a whole run with 6/9 only.

So I diluted the mix to 1/2 tsp per gallon with 6/9 and my meter is reading around 1400 ppms. Do you guys think that's still to high or do you think my fire ogs in coco will like it. Thanks again everyone

Why not just try it on 1 since you are experimenting. No sense in burning the whole garden. See what works best. I doubt you will notice much of a difference unless they get burned.

I done 1/4 tsp with most excellent yields. Zero problems but follow up with a dilute feed the next day. Say drop 100ppm by cutting with water.

I did 1 teaspoon and it fried most of my plants. I waited a week, flushed with 400 ppm water for 2 days. Second feeding of kb and I still had the balls to go 1/2 teaspoon. They are holding but for my first grow in fifteen years with a rezipe unknown to me it's like shooting pool with a rope.
I have a sealed room btw 12x22 with 14 vertical 600w, 7.5 tons of cooling, quest dual 205 dehumidifier, 6 plants (trees) in coco dtw. I am 4 weeks 4 days in to flower.

815ppm sounds a little high for 6/9 in RO water. I just run dechlorinated tap water that is 151ppm and after the ol 6/9 is mixed I only come out around 650ppm total.

For me, I find 1 tsp of KB powder to be worth about 500ppm.

I will also be at day 15 tomorrow night, but I will only feed 1/2 tsp. Anytime I start getting up over 1200 I'd rather go without before I risk frying my girls. KB is not a necessity. It's an additive and a powerful one. If your unsure what's going to happen skip it.

815 ppm my man is actually where a lot of people's ppm are after 6/9. Don't forget some people use different conversions as there are .5 and .7 meters. So your meter could read in the 600s and my meter would read your water in the 800s. But the ladies are looking well everyone thanks again !

Whoa AJ apologies bud. 600-650 is the ave. ppms of the mix, not including the ppms of the starting water. Around 750-800ppm is what I come in at. I also supplement Cal Mag and Silica so that adds another 170ppm to my regular feeding.

Any RO water I've ever tested has came in at 50ppms or less. That's the point I was making. Anything over that and there's something wrong with your RO unit.

Last night was my day 15 and I kept it a nice and safe 1070ppm by using 1/2tsp./gallon.
