Lighting in veg.

I always grow with HPS in both veg and flower.Clones get t12 tubes until rooted.

Jnugg, Thanks. I will give this a shot as I have a MH running, and will flame the other with a HPS. Now I know why when bulbs are on sale and I stock-up I do tend to buy more HPS.

1000w to veg? You must be vegging > a 10 x 10 space

You can save a ton of $$ using a HOT5 fixture for veg

Plants benefit from some red during veg. Red helps with root development

I have 2000W in a 4' x 8' veg space. Although it is rarely running at full wattage. Usually I have both lamps set to 500W or 750W, depending on how old the plants are. Bulbs are Hortilux Super HPS.

PetFlora, Slightly smaller than 10X10, not by much though. Electric in my area is about on average .10 a kilowatt. Didn't know red helps with root dev.

IC OVO's, I took a quick look at your vertical grow......that looks more and more appealing. Just need to be careful not to get burned by those bulbs.
