Gnatrol is amazing.

Recently been battling fungus gnats in one of my locations.

The little buggers were flying up my nose when I was watering!

Got some Gnatrol and left it overnight in a rez with some water. Ran it along with my usual nutrient regime and in 4 days it literally eradicated the infestation.

I still see some around, but I am sure after another application (7 days after initial app) they will be completely eradicated.

I read on this forum that the main ingredient that kills the gnats needs 24 hours in water to work properly.

Good luck.

The company says it has a 2 year shelf life.

Gnatrol WDG also has an increased shelf life compared to the older formulation.

"Previously, Gnatrol had a shelf life of roughly one year," Mayhew said. "The shelf life for the WDG formulation has been extended to two years, which lends itself to improved distributor and grower inventory management."

Is it really true you have to leave it in water for 24 hours? I don't believe that's on the instructions.

Gnatrol is BTi designed for FGs in greenhouses. I tried using mosquito dunks but they didn't work for me but studies give Gnatrol a good efficacy. And the stores around here don't carry. I use predator nematodes now, to be proactive, with great results but wish Gnatrol was sold around here.

Been using it for years. I'm in coco and I just dose everything like once a month and once a week right before I bomb the room every 90 days. Stuff works great but no stores seem to carry it.

I use it in soil with perfect results. I plan on a new infestation every summer and always have some ready to go. I actually go to great lengths to avoid the problem: mesh over bottom holes in pots, mesh covered by an inch of pea gravel on top of the soil. Mosquito Bits sprinkled on top of the soil at every repotting. Yellow sticky traps to let me know when the bastards have found us again. When all else fails: Gnatrol.

Use OGBIOWAR foliar, and it will kill fungus gnats plus just about every single other critter there is. Much better than gnatrol, and no I don't have a stake in the Company.

Much more concentrated and controllable.

Is gnatrol the same as Vectobac? I am wondering what is in the brown granular powder, is it nutritive? Sometimes it has a faint fishy smell. If I dose my crop with highly concentrated Vectobac am I inadvertently feeding nutrients?
