Just curious , is it possible to kill gnats, thrips, mites, all the usual pests by overdosing your room with co2 ?

Might work, but you also stand a chance of killing your plants and/or yourself.

Is this hypothetical, or do you actually have a pest problem?

10% co2 will kill most if not all pests if exposed for enaugh time to it (we're talking oxygen breathing beast only). but it's easier and cheaper to do it in a small box or in a plastic trashbag put over the plants. never tried a whole room.
and don't forget to repeat it to kill the ones that hatch from eggs after the first overdose.

Its just hyothetical.

I thought for peeps who are battling a serious infestation.
Might try a dose of there usual control, then blast the room for a few hours and seal it off with cO2 to really kill anything that survived.

Hypothetically it would make sense that any critters being suffocated would die or be weakened enough that a dose of pesticide would have a stronger effect on the first dose.

I recieved a clone once with spidermites that was in a beer cup. I put it in a bag and pumped with CO2 and let it sit for about an hour. It didn't kill em off. Maybe I did something wrong or it just doesn't bother mites. Anyway, I stick to other methods. GL...
