How's it going dubi, I am curious to know if this is the early pheno of Golden Tiger. She is 63 days in flower and I can't see her going any longer than about 2 more weeks if that.

This other pheno definitely looks like it can go 14 weeks

You get a faster one without doubt more into the Malawi side I'll assume.... you know vigor use to bring shortes flowering times, higher yields, potency, etc....and seems that you find a very good example of what a good F1 must be.

Your two phenos seem to be where my two GT girls are going but I am about 35 days behind you. One girl slowed down the stretch and started thickening up pretty quick and looks like she could finish a lot earlier than the other and will be easily manageable indoors. The second girl is going to be a wild ride and I am not sure I will be able to contain her indoors until next year (sounds much more dramatic than early January). I sure am going to try though.

Great pics by the way! I can't wait to try this strain out.

GT 1st timer outdoors at 26N. I started 3 on 6/1 and put em out on 6/21. Ended up with two 8' and one shorter 6'. The 6' started flower on 9/15. The 8s started on 9/23. One of the 8s turned male. The 6 is way faster to develop flowers and possibly could be the 11 weeker that canned abyss describes, shown below at 40 days. If it takes longer that's fine too. :)

High all Golden Tiger growers :)

The 'thaish' long flowering pheno is the most longest flowering Golden Tiger expression. It has the clearest and funniest effect. The early dense pheno is without any doubt very malawi influenced, flowers are denser and more aromatic than thai pheno. Better 'bag appeal'. It's not rare to find 1 or 2 early females in a single 10 seed standard pack.

Should be interesting to explore F2 Golden Tiger early pheno ;)

unfortunately I did not get a male. I am going to cross her with a haze nl5 male and a spyder male. I think an auto tiger would be awesome.

Hello Peacer,

Is the F2 from the early golden tiger pheno or just Golden Tiger F2 ?

The Golden Tigers F2 generations have been tested with great results but i still would like to make a bigger selection between F1 and F2 to produce a solid F3. We produced enough Golden Tiger stock at the end of 2011 for a few years more so i've been working in other projects lately, mainly chinese and her hybrids.

Ok the early pheno then :) It's more aromatic and narcotic than the long flowering ones, obviosly earlier to flower, we found Golden Tigers F1s that finished 3 weeks before than the average flowering time of the strain.

where would one be able to purchase the short flowering f2's?

Greetings TOKA,

You have the chance to find more or less powerful plants in the F2 generation, is just more variable than the F1. And yes, they are available for all the people interested.

2012 od grow for me included 4 female gts started indoors march 1, grown under a 17/7 veg photoperiod and transplanted od may 15th. one of my homemade f2's of gt started to flower and by june 1 could see no signs of re-veging. she was finished by early aug. looked like regular fall gt. fully developed buds just like fall product.

potent narcotic smoke. i have full cure on these buds now and really enjoy the smoke.

the key here was early flowering and no re-veging.

edited to add: yield was aprox. 2.5 - 3 oz. could have been more but was grown in poorly amended shit soil. my fertile grow areas were the highest yielding areas.

now dont understand, I thought there is lower variations than in f1 cause they are made from early flowering ones...more aromatic is good : )
Im going to make selection from those 11 seeds Ive bought :woohoo: and some homemade "f3" seeds for future, just to stabilize that earliness
