WS game 1 for me, big Papi just got robbed of a grand slam by Beltran, but a 0-5 Sox lead has me smiling.......

Sox up 8-0, amazing, so many sports prognosticators were saying this was the most evenly matched world series in a long time. Prognostication shmognostication!

and yet could've been much closer, several opportunities wasted by the Cards to score in earlier innings. oddly enough the green monster really didn't come into play this game, the Cards being NL don't usually get an opportunity to experience that phenom unless they see it in inter-league play. advantage goes to the Sox playing the monster.

I spent more time with the hoops game, so I didn't get to see much of what you report. I did notice that the Sox had only one more hit than the Cards, that suggests more parity. Imagine if Ortiz's shot had gone a few more feet...I think that would have been 3 more runs for 'em. It's strange how team's can play each other very evenly, yet have the final score be lopsided.
