I've been up to my neck in trim the past coupla days. Things look exciting but I've learned never to count my chickens ect.

@ FoG, Good advice mate, I've still got some mectin so I've been following your advice.

@Green 81, I'll add floramite to my armory. Which predators would you recommend?

Crops down and drying. I'll report back when I know the final yield.

Meantime I need to clean my rez, there's some kinda greenish film on the inside/pumps/pipes. It's a tall narrow thing like a garden water butt so I can't reach inside to scrub. Any recommendations please?

Time to wrap this thread up. Final result is 56 ounces/14 per light/per square meter which ain't wonder stuff but works out at 2 per light more than I've pulled with the SS before.
I've over fed and had borg so chopped 5-7 days before I usually would so all in all I'm pleased with the outcome.

The point of this exercise was to make things a little easier and on that score I'm well pleased. No more lugging buckets around, no more having to be home for when the lights come on. I never realised growing could be so easy!

I never did fire up the 1000 watters. A little reading around showed me that working to the 50w per square foot rule, 4 600s is perfect and 4 1000s would be over kill. I'd like to put bigger trays in but there just isn't space for them so for now, at least, I'll be sticking with the 600s.

I'm pretty sure I can increase yield from this set up with better genetics. I put 24 Critical in there last week, taken from a cut my agent got a hold of for me. I've no info about it other than it's a 7 weeker, it's "they are all doing around here now" and it has, apparently, thick stalks(!)

Thanks to all of you who chipped in with advice and support. It made things easier and I'm making a few changes in my room based on things people have said here.:thank you:

Oh, and I'm not going to insult you with any more pictures. I'm planning to get a proper camara soon and I'm going to get the hang of this Windows 8 so next time it'll be better.

@ Dank, thanks Man, like I said, things will improve now, I'm sure.

@ Willy, I really don't know what to do about the 1000s. The ballasts are installed waiting and ready but as I said earlier, word seems to be they would be wasted over a square meter. Seems the optimum is 4' x 4' for 1000 watts. Dunno, maybe I'll do one tray with 600s and one with 1000s and see if there's a difference. What d'ya reckon?

you can do it Harry pull the trays off the wall 4-6" make a light curtain with wood and reflectix 4-6" away from tray on the other side make nets bigger and jobs a good en you can put pots right to the edge on those Danish trays

just an idea but once you try em you won't look back

Fair enough. FoG I've taken your advice & Willy, I've done it, well half done it. I bought a coupla 1000w hps bulbs yesterday and fired them up tonight. This run is going to be one tray with 2 x 600 and one with 2 x 1000 side by side and I'll see what happens.

nice one you won't regret it

you should also take samples from each side so you can smoke the bud and compare them
