Pimpin, you tend to run a lot more sativa heavy strains than most.
When I build my rooms, I like to be able to adjust temperatures. I try to shoot for lights on temps to be controllable down to 70F if not lower... Higher temps are easier to achieve
We must take into consideration that many of the drug cannabis strains are from mountainous regions (lower temps and higher UV exposure in most cases)
Although most cannabis has been "bred" for indoor environments, some of the sport phenotypes will show ancestral traits. Many do not realize "dialing in" a strain is done by producing the environment that strain would have acclimated to. This includes: soil composition (nutes AND density etc), RH levels AND temperature
ehhh, yes and no - seed ibl maybe, but most things are so hybridized i dont think we can say "dialing in a strain is done by producing acclimated environment" because i've seen strains taken to different environments, grown out over the years and acclimated to the environment....still "dialed?" in, and what's DIALED? is it dialing in your room for outstanding climate, is it dialed when your strain is kicking 1g/watt, or is your strain dialed just because it expressed ancestral traits...IMHO its the top two...the latter ive seen done with strains that weren't at all fed in the way they've needed...besides most landrace strains dont get the nutrients they need(ed), thats why they became way more popular once our good brothers & sisters took the seeds and cultivated em elswehere.....the reason these strains were special is because they were still dank in the factors, variables they faced....i have always found way better growth in higher temps, not too high but right around 79-82, and night time at around 60-68; for every strain, i think about the outdoor climate in summer time in high production places (i.e. northern california), it might be lower temps in mountainous regions with higher UV , but if you've ever spent time in those places with the higher UV its actually a lot warmer....especially if you were to measure the temperature of the leaf....and on the reverse ive seen cannabis growth go silly in a greenhouse where temps are over 85degrees with plenty of airflow and UV-B is filtered with the plastic covering, why is cannabis so outstanding grown in hawaii????
