ASPERGILLUS WARNING TO GROWERS! PLEASE READ.

actually smoking mouldy weed is even more likely than anything else in your proximity if that's what you did, and that's wht it sounds like to me in the initial post.

Yeah, I had the same symptoms last year on new yrs when my guy sold me moist trees. I thought I was hallucinating, he said it was just not dry yet so I smoked it anyways because I didn't have anything dry/grown of my own at the time. Well, I was sick for 6 months. Yeah that's no typo, 6 MONTHS. Symptoms were a little worse than they are now, but they started out exactly like this.

That weed made me feel a lot worse than this did though, so hopefully I didn't get as bad of a batch. I'm glad I never followed through with retribution, I thought he was trying to poison me and I almost did something I would've probably gone to jail for.

Doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I'll request an Aspergillus test. Has this happened to you or something man?

Unless that "etc." includes a high fever, you do not have an Aspergillus infection.
I have had an Aspergilloma removed from my lung.

So, I boned up on it.
You should too:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002302/#adam_001326.disease.symptoms

We are all exposed to the spores all the time but an un-compromised immune system fends them off easily.
So, if you do, somehow, have Aspergillus sans fever, it is not your biggest problem.
You will have to figure out why.
See a good diagnostician asap.

Aloha, and good luck,
Weezard

Checking my symptoms online indicated HIV, some ghastly cancer and/or a brain tumour.

Doc had never seen anyone so happy to be diagnosed with diabetes , which is manageable.

At first glance I read the post as ASPARAGUS WARNING TO GROWERS! , thankfully my fave veg is still safe.

Aw man. Thanks for the heads up, now I really hope I don't have it. I do have on and off face flushing and my head will get really hot for about 20 minutes then disappear. So strange, it's like hot flashes that women get almost.

You did?! How did you get it? And how did they go abouts the surgery? Is that the kind with the fungus balls? So sorry to hear about that man, glad youre doin better though. Thanks again, I'm goin to the doc's tomorrow so I'll post an update on what's really up. Stay up!

Damn. That's the worst thing about internet diagnosing... terrible shit comes up with similar symptoms and it spooks the hell out of you sometimes!

I'm sorry about your diabetes, did you have any of the same symptoms I have? I just realized I can't achieve erections anymore either... sounds like a high blood pressure - related issue. Thanks for the feedback man, really frustrated with my body right now

Mine do! There are so many traps in my inline scrubbers, spores must be smarter than a mouse on crack to get through!

Nah man I promise they don't, I wouldn't contradict ya if I didn't know for sure... they just take care of odors, the only thing that traps spores are HEPA filters. That's why they patented HEPA and probably why they cost so damn much. LOL

I will, I feel like others have the same problem when trying to remain undetected. It's shitty, but I ordered a carbon filter / fan combo this week so I can vent outside. Never got sick before in the 7 years I've been growing though and I've vented back into the house the entire time... hmm.

That's not a fever, that's a flush.:)

A shot in the dark here, but have your Thyroid levels checked.
A good doctor will know what tests to run.

As for the lung loogie.
Wrecked my motorcycle in the '90s.
Had a pneumothorax and the left lung had collapsed completely.
They had to induce a coma because of the number of broken ribs.
While I was out, I spiked a fever of 104.
But, because I was out, it was easy to poke an endoscope into the lungs and look.

Had I been at home with that fever, I would have tried to tough it out and wouldn't be above ground now.
Funny kind of luck, yah?

Aloha, and thanks for the good wishes.

Oh my God man. I don't even know what to say, that's some really serious stuff. It's almost like it was meant to happen... glad to hear youre doin well ABOVE ground. For real.

My thyroid was a little high last time they checked, not sure if it raised from then. It's 6am where I live and I haven't even fallen to sleep yet, new symptoms arrose tonight - sleep apnea and pains in my heart with some weird vision problems. Literally everytime I go to doze off I stop breathing... it's like I have to manually breath right now. Wonder how many days I'll be able to put up with this shit / no sleep... wish me luck lol

Jeeze man. Those bombs are no joke, I'm so sorry to hear about that. Glad everything is ok and youre able to type comments on icmag still... lung infections are no picnic.

I guess your right. I suppose I could put a petri dish of agar & nutrient base at the end of a filter. Seems carbon scrubs all chemicals except ammonia. Probably not so good at radiation either.

I have no way of exhausting outside with the current situation. There is a 4 inch ducting going outside on the other side of the room
I am worried about running exhaust all the way over there and loosing heat or cooling doing that.

LOL not officially, though I grew up smoking schwag.... then moved to Texas and smoked butt loads of scwag there, so I've likely smoked lots of spore riddled weed. I actually have had lung problems since high school and am around 50, so that's LOTS of spores and bad choices. I very rarely smoke now, just vape and edibles.

Studing mycology even scratching the surface and you'll realize once you have a little mold you can SEE, you've got a full fledged take0ver going on.

BTW, many things learned in my current studies (reviews really) but most applicable to our purposes, chlorine bleach is 10x better than alcohol to get rid of spores or bacteria... only thing I DON'T use it for is cleaning blades for clones or any other metals. Alcohol or flame for blades. ;)

Do you have any available windows? you can make a simple window unit thats light proof and cut a circle in the board to fit your ducting

window boxes work fine.. just gotta make sure no matter wat u do .. if ur exhausting air outdoors.. filter that air.

yep... that's gotta be the #1 way cops obtain warrants - odors leaking out of the residence. Carbon filters everyone! Do NOT skimp in this area.

so you havent had the weed tested for mold, you cant see any mold, you havent been to the doctor to get checked for a lung infection or mold sickness.

What happens if you get these symptoms when you smoke?

Say 10 minutes after? Excluding the short term memory loss.

And I don't twitch; I get convulsions. Extreme body shaking and jerking.
