hydro ebb&flow first

Hi, this is my first growbox: I choose ebb&flow 'cause it happens I am out for some days and so it is selfworking for a while.
this is 1 month old, after some slow down for too low nutrients, now it's ok I think. Pruned the top after the tird ramification, the plant exploded, doubled the stem and leaf dimensions.
good smell already
My goal is to keep it low and, if I can, make a SOG. Too ambitious?
I am a little worry because I can't keep humidity high enough (now I am around 30%. Sometimes I spray some water on the leaves, it seems working.
What you say? please tell me as it is the first time

It is not wise to spray anything whatsoever onto your plants while they are under a light thats in use. If you wanted to try to increase the humidity at a minimum cost you could buy some pvc and plastic and build a room around your system and plastic it to keep it warm and humid, but if you do this you should get an air filter in their to suck out air and let new air in. "Heppa filters work good for that" Also depending on the light you have it would prolong the life of your light. If you want to keep your plant short you could always buy some hortinova and top the plant depending on the strain.

thanks, Cambodianqueen and indianaJ.

I didn't know it is better not to spray on plants. it is to avoid mold, I guess.
Anyway I am growing with CFL, and the temperature is never higher than 28°C.
Today I added a DIY CO2 unit mixing Sodium bicarbonate and citric acid in a separate vat. The CO2 bubbles are coming when the two liquids meet.
Anyway, I am not sure if it is a good idea to increase CO2 levels if I want to keep the plant low...
I will make a new post in the appropriate section from now on.

Flood and Drain system

Flood and Drain system

Hi guys,
I decided to show you the system I built, so you can see where are the things I should change.
It is working pretty good.
Nutrients are GH grow-micro-bloom, I followed the instructions lowering a bit the quantities (60-70% of recommended)
Temp is around 27°C (80 F)
Rh is lower than 50%, usually 40% or less
I added a system for producing CO2, you see the white vat in the rear.
I flow every 3 hrs, but today I made 4 hrs, cause I am afraid to overwater.
I topped after the third knot and the plant grew ok (as I already told previously)
pH is 5,5-6,5 ppm in 580-600, µS is 1080
what do you think?

this is the album, sorry if some pics are turned (don't know why..)
:thank you:

Hortinova is basically like that green fencing stuff you put up to keep a deer out of your garden but just more fancy and more expensive than the green fencing. I personally found some of the green fencing in my yard and made a frame above my hydro table and attached that on their. What this does is basically gives your ladies more support while they grow and bud out. I will be cutting almost everything off beneath my frame since it wont be gettiing light much longer. Feel free to check out my hydro grow on here maybe it will help you a little, And i will try to help answer any questions you have. Good luck with your growing :)

Co2 is good for ladies if dosed properly and only given right away in the morning(around the time the light comes on) because that is when they will get the most use out of it. Are you going to be using anything bigger than what you have set up already or are you trying to keep your grow the way it is until its done?

Thank you cambodian, yes I will put something like hortinova. Actually CO2 is just an experiment, cause I don't want the plant to grow too much, but I don't really know how much CO2 I can produce this way. Stechiometric calculations tell me it should be enough to fill the box twice a day, shutting off air extraction. My maximum height is 110 cm so, if I subtract the lamp thickness I have 90 cm more or less. hope it's enough. My will now is to make experience, and if I get good results, I'll go a little more pro. I'd love to have my fresh buds every two-three months, so I'm ok forever and no purchasing shit anymore. Just a dream :((
Next project is to build a ozone generator to stop the smell (already in the room you can smell a light hash flavour) that will be hard to cover in flowering, I guess.
I found a tutorial on the tube, made with simple components. I'll just try..then I'll share the results. ;)

that is pretty interesting. I had built my own carbon filter for the smell in my grow which happens to be the drying room as well hah so the carbon filter works great for me as it is attached to pull air across the light as well to keep the light from getting too hot during everything.

cambodian, did you share the filter project? would you please..? even if I use CFLs, it would be precious to see how you did
I am afraid that ozonizer is not enough..
ciao!
