Didn't K tell you he didn't see the need for anything bigger than a 25 anyways ? its what he settled on after all his pot size experiments . he even went as big as a 65 under 1 light .

Time to get rid of these damned fungus gnats. They make me sick. And if trimming wasnt bad enough, I gotta keep an eye out for these little bastards

This lard bud from the seed room was sitting almost on the floor, but still, thats disgusting.

I hit them with a little Azamaz tonight. Gonna start with some pure neem as follow up.

you know you need to do a soil drench to get rid of them right? they have a 3 week life cycle so you need to spray to kill adults and do a soil drench once a week for 3 weeks to be rid of them, and make sure you let the top inch of the soil dry out between watering as that will help keep them in check.

I thought my flower room was a bit warm. I found the intake line fell off. Had to go under the house to put it back on properly. It's not coming off unless I want it off;)

Unc- yeah i used the Azamaz as a soil drench, at around .5 ml per gallon. And i only did it to 2 plants, to see if that will hurt them. And i also sprayed some pyrethrins(pyrethrums?) [Dr.Doom spider mite Knockdown spray], and I'm going to be using Pure neem oil as a systematic for a while. And im using that DE dust in my soil mix when I up-pot them in a few days.

I also just learned a great tip: using 1 or 2 inches of perlite as a top layer. Gonna do that as well. Maybe mix the perlite with the DE powder too, while im at it.:)

:coffee: mornin boys...

figuring out what to do today, looks like another chore day here,i would rather go riding but now i dont trust my rear tire...i suppose i should just swap it out since i have a spare here at the house....at the very least i should take the tire off and inspect it....maybe the hunk of metal didnt get through the inner casing...didnt leak so maybe its fine....

pappy, dont get all spray happy....as you have seen here sometimes you can do more harm than good with the various bug sprays.most insect problems come down to some cultural mistake you are making or some atmospheric condition you have set up...
with fungus gnats it generally means you are over watering or your space is too humid...simply letting the top inch of your medium dry out between waterings will get rid of most of your problem...

Thanx guys :)

i'm not sure yet Pappy . i'm watching them as they get through the stretch . i may need to put one over the GG's cuz they get heavy branched as they fill in .... just to hold up the branches . but i put them in small enough , i really didn't need to scrog them . i left them unmolested too ..... wanna see what that main cola is gonna look like when done

morning guys :coffee:

Yeah, im trying to hold back, its hard though. I wanna obliterate these things as quick as possible. But im trying to be smart. Im just gonna use the azamax drenches(at extremly low doses) a couple times. And some pure neem here and there. And then just the perlite with DE mixed in as a top layer. And some DE mixed into my soil mix. Nothing to crazy;)

Ok guys, a couple questions.

1) If I used an Azamax soil drench last night on 2 'test' plants, how long should I wait to do the rest of the plants? Assuming it looks like the amount I used is a safe amount for my plants. So far its only been 12 hours, but they look fine.

2)When transplanting, do I have to let the plants dry out? I usually do, but i wanna up-pot some plants today. Can I do that with the soil wet? They're in plastic grow bags, so I can just cut the bags off.

3) How far away do you guys keep your t5's (if thats what you use) from the plant tips, WHEN CLONING?
And whats the ideal Relative Humidity% range for cloning?

Thanks for any and all input:tiphat:

1 you're probably fine then,if they dont wilt or show damage within 24 hours its ok i would think..

2 i would wait, you can damage your roots that way

3 what kind of clones? rooted? in cups? in the aero cloner? if you are rooting them, less light is often better,i use a 23w cfl bulb over a foot away...once they are rooted then as close as i can get the light without burning them...
at least 80% rh

Im out of likes already, but very helpful! thanks.

Yea its the aero cloner. Im absolutely GODSMACKED at how different my rooting times are in my new room. I guess humidity plays an ENORMOUS role. I was getting roots in 6 days easy in my other room. In my new room, I cant get my RH% above 45-50%, and my cuts are at 12 days right now, with just tiny stubs. I have 20 cuts in there, most of them different strains. And all of them have pretty small roots yet. Actually the GG4 are doing the best, which is weird, cause the other cuts were much more freshly taken.
But anyways, yeah, I guess that RH really does matter a shitload. The only other thing that could have slowed my progress so much, might have been i had my t5 too close. But it was probably a combo of both. Live and learn.

Looking good there dans!

Morning/afternoon fellers.

I while back I was telling unc I didn't believe a true 4x4 scrog could go 2 pounds due to lack of cubic footage i.e. depth. Well I'm enjoying a nice big bowl of my words this morning and they taste great!

Got the LOK scrog dry and trimmed and she went 34. No really where I want to be but acceptable none the less. I think I over weaved if that is possible. I believe there is a fine line between under and over weaving.

That scrog was pretty flat. If left to finish the stretch growing vertically for a foot or so I think it would have yielded more.

Was this one on the left.

the glue and cookie scrog hit 2 lbs but there was a bunch of larf this time,i got 30 oz out the door at 30 grams an ounce and a bunch left over for me and the ll plus a shit ton of glue for hash making, probably 6 ounces,so im happy with it,not setting any records, but who cares?
